Monday Madness Fess Up...

So...fess up...did you do your workout today? Are you eating well? Drinking lots of H2O? What's in store for dinner?

And a-weigh we go...

Did an awesome workout. Not as much cardio as I would have liked, or planned to but the bleeping right knee is giving me fits. So, to get even with it, I did a bunch of lunges. I figure if it's going to go, let's get the show on the road. Didn't bother it a bit. I guess after I get done with all the heart doc visits I'll pursue the knee issues. After cardio, I got on the weight machine and did lat pull downs. Cranked up the curl bar with weights and did 3 amazing sets of bicep curls. Slow and agonizingly concentrated. Did 3 relatively easy sets of overhead triceps. Not sure what that was about. Guess it's time to crank up the weight on that. No abs...out of time and heading to the shower to really begin my day.

Behind on food and water. Will catch up on that in a few minutes. Dinner is a yummy creamy chicken enchilada dish.

Huggles.

Your workout sounds like mine, minus the knee troubles; my weak spots are my hips, but I'm just going to work through it and do those therapeutic stretches I posted Cussette about a while back. Weights will be like yours, both machine and handweights.

Dinner is steak. I need red meat. Old Gertie the stove still needs to earn her keep (short timer that she is) before she's replaced by a new model.

Doing great with my water today - unlike the weekend. Missed my morning snack, which explains why my stomach is whining. Eating it now; lunch to follow soon.

Thanks for the H20 reminder, going to get some now.

I just came back from a short walk, its very cold and raining.

Lunch is one of my favs, a handful of cooked rice and a can of tomato soup.

Dinner will be a rush. Chicken breast, salad, and left over bread machine bread from yesterday. Then we're off to DD's first night of basketball practice this year.

Must 'fess up that I gave in and got a caramel pecan apple. It's the first one I've had all year and probably the last, but it was WONDERFUL! I wonder if Eve's apple had caramel and pecans on it -- very tempting...I did dash back down to a store in St. Augustine, then back to the mall for more aerobic shopping!! Wrapped what I bought. Another good day in spite of the apple!

I work at it (I love my job -- LOL!). I really enjoy shopping, and if I'm looking for something, it becomes a mission. When I worked in an office, I didn't have time to do it, so that makes a difference. In my travels for Christmas shopping I've been making notes about the different places that have things I want, so I can keep an eye out for sales there. I like expensive things, but I don't want to pay the prices, so I work at getting them for less.

Good Monday!

I ate well! Didn't over-indulge, and got my water in. I even turned down a chance to go out Thursday night for Beaujolais Nouveau. I figured that the teacher appreciation reception on Wednesday and a friend's birthday party on Friday should be enough for one week. *pats self on back*

I powerwalked for 30 minutes at lunch. In addition to walking to and from work.

The gym was packed - wall to wall people. Every machine (aerobic and weight) was in use, so I only got 30 minutes on the treadmill before yoga. Now I remember why I don't care for it - I just don't work as hard. Yoga class was also packed - we had about 35 people in a classroom large enough for about 14. It was almost like the week after New Year resolutions are made. But I got a pretty good workout in just the same. Now I just need to keep it up for more than one day.

Workout was the treadmill prework this morning. Lots of bending and stretching working in the file room today getting the appropriate paper trail in the appropriate client's file. Lots of walks back and forth from the large cookie tray brought in by my no so favorite coworker who was celebrating the closing on her new coop purchase-however she will be walking off the extra calories on her treadmill and not me. Lots of water which necessitated quite a number of trips up the two flights of stairs to the ladies room. Home to cook dinner which was Grilled Chicken Pizzas on Whole Wheat pitas and a salad. Quick trip to the grocery store and interval walking with Otto, back home to pick up my library books and another walk to the library to return my unread library books. A few necessary household chores and I think my Monday Madness will be complete.
