Had an email from Phyllis that she couldn't get in the board and needed to get going. She will check in with us later.

So what's up for everyone today?Do you have a busy day ahead or calm relaxing one? What kind of workout plans do you have? And what are the three positive things from the week?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Busy, busy, busy as usual at work. I have several projects screaming for attention and a 2-hour staff meeting right in the middle of the day. Crapola.

So anyway, Jazzercise didn't go so well last night. Maybe I pushed myself too hard, I dunno. Everyone has an off day now and then. Hoping tonight goes better. I'm thinking of heading down to the new center that opened at the beginning of the month. Kinda waiting for the crowds to thin down after the grand opening. I heard the first class was packed to the rafters.

Anyway, top three:

1. My boss took me off a probject I'd been dreading. Thanks boss.

2. Had a nice heart to heart with DH about a few things this weekend. Yes, I feel better now.

3. My landlady brought me her special 'silver medal' tea when I was feeling particularly sick this weekend. Bless her heart it was NASTY, but she meant well.

Off to find the time to get everything done at once. Have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies,

It's another gray and gloomy day here on LI with the promise of rain maybe through the weekend! Yuck! The good thing is I won't be sitting in the office wishing I was outside!

Workout was the treadmill and hand weights and if the rain holds off a walk with Otto after dinner.

Top Three For the Week:

1. Feels good to be exercising on a regular basis again. I've really been off track the past few weeks and I'm enjoying my treadmill and feeling good that I left the cookie tray alone yesterday!

2. Enjoyed a Saturday night out.

3. Making some progress in cleaning out the debris in the basement-the big ugly couch is leaving this evening for curbside!

Off to begin my domestic duties pre work, but first I'm off to find the match to my sock so I can wear both to work!

Hope your Tuesday is good to you!

Got in a short walk at lunch yesterday, and did 15 minutes of yoga last night. If you read my post, I'm searching for a new type of workout. Anyone know about Tai Chi or Dong Qi? Any good tapes? Books?

1. Feeling Christmasy

2. Did a good deed for someone last night, I love doing good deeds.

3. Second night in a row with keeping up with housework. The place looks pretty good.

Good morning, everyone!

Calm day workout-wise - just doing cardio. Running errands after work, and a light dinner planned to even out the massive red-meat meal from Monday night. Fish and leftover turkey for the next two weeks. I think I had enough steak to last me at least that long. Yummy. And I ate it after my blood test. And I've dropped another pound - 15 TOTAL!!! Now it's 19 more to go; and doesn't that sound so much more achievable than 20? Time for a non-food treat. I don't want to keep boring you all with reports of 1-lb losses, but I'm so excited to see the sustained drop, to be able to stick with a good workout and eating plan, and to feel sooooo good I can't help myself. And for those of you struggling with working in your workouts and trying to find the best way to eat, been there, done that, too, so I understand the challenges and frustrations you're facing.

Positives:

1) Weight loss continuing at the slower pace promised in SBD.

2) Working out slow-burn style showing excellent results.

3) My nephew called me from my mom's house while she was babysitting him Monday (she wrote the number out for him and he matched them to the dialpad), and told me he loved me unprompted. He also recited a poem he just learned - "Through the teeth and over the gums, look out, stomach, here it comes!"

Have a great day, everyone!

Can you tell me what you mean by a workout "slow burn" style?
