Tue, 11-18-2003 - 7:12am
Had an email from Phyllis that she couldn't get in the board and needed to get going. She will check in with us later.

So what's up for everyone today?Do you have a busy day ahead or calm relaxing one? What kind of workout plans do you have? And what are the three positive things from the week?

Hope everyone has a great day!

I probably missed this somewhere in the last few months, but I know that your DS graduated last spring, right?

Using freeweights and weight machine. Elevate or press the weight to a certain number of beats, then lowering or releasing almost twice as slowly. The work occurs when you're returning to the starting position under control; if you let momentum lead the return, you miss a key opportunity to work the muscle harder. Doing weight work this way, I can feel the muscle quiver and burn slightly.

Learned this from Body for Life, and from Sassy's postings here.

Is that the concept in a nutshell, Sassy or Phyllis?

Isn't funny that when we're away from someone we realize how special they are.?I think we tend to take the people that are a part of our daily lives for granted.I know I do.

DS is working for a landscaper in town and loves it.He is planning on taking some college courses now in landscaping design and becoming a bigger part of the business. But he also has some ideas of wanting to start his own business so we'll see. He's still at home and assures me he will be for awhile longer.LOL
