Howdy.

Cloudy and rain moving in. I'll be crankin' up the praise and worship music in the basement for my workout this morning. Shoulders and chest on the weight machine. Abs.

Plans for the day? Hmmmm. Work. That's pretty much it! Tomorrow is DH's birthday, but he doesn't want to celebrate. He's feeling old ;) Too bad. We're celebrating. Baking his favorite cake (devils food chocolate with cream cheese frosting) and I already got gifts. Need to get some cards today.

Feeling funky today...mentally not physically. I think it's the lead up to Flo so I'm determined to drink my soy, workout daily and focus, focus, focus.

Hugs!

Sassy :)

Good morning!Whoohoo, I'm chicken free!!!Today they are callin for 3 inches of rain, flash floods and possibly strong thunder storms!Sheesh!Want to head out early and get some errands done before the skies open up.

Looks like todays workout will be inside, either treadmill or step. Some UB weights too.Should probably throw some housework in there somewhere.Want to get everything done and then relax this afternoon.I'm picturing a cozy afternoon with candles lit,we'll see if that happens.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!!!

Yum...cozy afternoon with candles lit. When I close my eyes I can actually picture it. Then I open my eyes and it's back to reality! I hope your dream comes true this afternoon! Glad you are chicken free for a short bit of time. Wish we could get together for lunch!

Hugs.

Sassy<-reconsidering her day and wondering how she can fit in "cozy" and "candles"

It's cloudy and windy here. There's either a tornado watch or warning from 5 AM to 10 AM this morning. At least that's what they said last night. Should be getting some storms. Of all days, I need to pick up Rob to take him to the orthodontist at 11:30. He's doing well enough today to go to school.

I got some housework and laundry done late last night and got an early start this morning. With 5 housepets, it's a never ending process.

I got my oil changed yesterday and wanted the tire place to check out a noise I've been hearing ever since I got my brakes replaced. The Explorer makes it almost all the time when I put on the brakes and am coming to a stop -- even did it on the way over there. I got one of the guys to come ride with me so he'd hear it, and the darn thing didn't do it even once in over 2 miles of stopping and starting!!! I was so frustrated. Have you ever had things like that happen?? You know, like having a knee that pops, then you get to the dr. and it works just fine? Arrrgh!! So, since they couldn't hear the noise, they couldn't figure out what was causing it.

I found a sequin Santa hat to wear to the Dec. Red Hat Society luncheon. It will be at the oceanfront Ponte Vedra Lodge where my daughter was married, so it will be very nice, but kind of weird for me. I had debated between that hat and a really long fluffy one with elf ears. This one won, because it cost less than 1/2 as much. I did like those elf ears though...

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone...

Today is looking sunny and warmer than usual and they're callin for a high in the 60's. Weird Nebraska weather... But I'm likin' it and so is my biker-dude (not) DH. He's never happier than when he's riding.

Workout-wise I think I'll catch a body sculpting class tonight and maybe a Jazz class too. Feeling pretty perky this week with my cold fading away. My throat is still pretty sore. Cross your fingers it's not the strep that has been making the rounds at work. I've never worked in a place with so many people coming down sick as I have here...not even when I was working in nursing. It's going to be a rough winter I think. So down goes the OJ every day. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, huh? Well, I'll have the doc check out the tonsils on thursday when I go in for my annual...ugh...NOT looking forward to that one.

Swamped with work...the director of our department yesterday asked everyone to give just a little more effort and time to our projects. Most of us are salaried folks and don't get paid for overtime. Fortunately, I am not one of them. But I'm already doing 45-50 hours a week and I have a life, believe it or not.

Anyway, this isn't a gripe session.

Have a super day!

Good Morning,

It's not a wonderful Wednesday if you're considering it from the weather point of view unless of course you love rain or are a duck! Rain and lots of it headed our way.

Workout was the the treadmill and squats and lunges.

I do think I needed some sort of mental workout this morning-brain seems to be elsewhere this morning. Did you know that even though your coffee pot is new that it doesn't make coffee without water in it? And did you know that even though your frying pan is nice and hot that you actually have to put the egg whites in it if you want an egg white omlette for breakfast? Hope the day doesn't continue like this or else I may be in big trouble today!

Rest of the day is spent in the office. Cozy and candles-you think if I put that in the suggestion box at work management would go for it? Sounds delightful Patty-hope it comes to pass for you!

Hope everyone's Wednesday is wonderful!

We too are scheduled for dark, gloomy, rainy skies. Our poor goats hate rain and won't come out to play with us when its like this. So, we hang out in their small barn with them, but when they start knocking heads together we usually leave. Nothing worse than having a goat knock your knee by accident.

I actually did a 30 minute Yoga workout last night, and it felt good. I've been slowly working up to it, and I did it. Tonight will be another 30 minutes and if it isn't pouring rain I'll get in a 30 minute walk at lunch time.

Phyllis, what do you mean by "chicken free?" Did you get rid of some chickens, not eating chicken anymore, total vegen?
