Did you get your workout in?

I decided to risk the threat of rain and head out for a good power walk. I'm glad I did. The rain held off and I had a great workout. Hit the floor for abs, but only did one set each of shoulders and chest. I think I really over did the other day. Need another rest day or two. Major pain and not good pain. But happy with the workout I did. Just polished off a three egg omelet (only one yolk) with a slice of swiss cheese and steamed asparagus. Big glass of choc soy, of course.

How was your workout?

How is your food going?

Don't forget your water.

Hugs

Sassy :)

I got in a 20 minute walk, then the sky broke open, which wouldn't have been too bad, but the wind was so strong the rain came down on an angle, so I came back in.

Plan to do 30 minutes of Yoga tonight, still a little sore from last night.

Lunch was some leftover rice with steamed veggies from last night.

Dinner tonight is in the crockpot, skinless chicken breast with herbs and stewed tomatoes, with rice again, and a giant salad.

I'm sipping my water

My workout is indoors, so there will be no backsliding and no excuses (unless the basement floods.....). Breakfast was McCann's oats with almonds, dried cranberries, Splenda, and vanilla SoySlim (the WestSoy stuff) and a splash of ff 1/2 & 1/2. Snack was low-fat mozzarella cheese stick. Lunch was an appetizer order of fried calamari that I split with my friend, and a monster mixed green salad all for me with decaf mint tea. Thanks for the water reminder - nowhere near good enough with that today. Snack - more mozzo cheese and 1/2 an English cucumber. Dessert early - a sugar-free PB cup. Dinner - who knows? Some species of fish and green veggies and squash if that's the other veggie.

The best made plans.....Decided to get a run in before anything else and very glad I did.Had a fantastic run.Had to run some errands and had a phone call from a friend saying to stop by.I did and 3hrs later I'm home!Three of us got together at her house. Two of us had decided earlier we were doing a no carb day.I don't know how we then happened at Pizza Hut for the buffett!!!!So much fun, is there anything better than good quality girl friend time??

Tomorrow I have a fun day planned with my Mom and sisters.Shopping and lunch, can't wait.I love my downtime from CL!!!!

OK, I'm off to do some quick housework and light those candles.

Workout is yet to come. I'm looking forward to it tonight. Lots of stress to work off.

Eating has been so-so. I hit a mid-afternoon slump and yielded to the call of the wild vending machine. Ever since they stopped letting us eat at our desks, my afternoon snack has gone to the dogs. I get within eyesight of those machines and I'm done. Any suggestions? I have to keep all food, perishable or not, in the fridge in the cafeteria with the vending machines. I'm hosed.

Anyway, breakfast was oatmeal (just the plain old fashioned kind for me) with sweet n' low, a little peanut butter and some chocolate soymilk. My favorite! Morning snack, 2 hard-boiled eggs and a mozz string cheese w/water. Lunch was 1/2 turkey breast sandwich, baby carrots with ff ranch dip and (I might as well confess it all) cherry cheesecake pie. But, I had a diet-caffiene free soda to go with it so that makes up for the pie, right? *sigh* I know...rats... And for break, the infamous brownie bites. Seems like once I start on the sweet stuff I can't stop it. I've tried packing a nice, 'healthy' portion of something wonderful in my lunch bag but it seems like it's never enough. I just want to eat the sweets until I bust.

I've read Dr. Phil. I've surfed the web and learned all I can. But I don't know how to tame my sugar demon. This is harder than quitting smoking...there should be a chocolate patch. I could make a mint with that one...

Hmmmm....mint....

It was sure a wooly booly Wednesday in this neck of the woods. You can always count on a broken copy machine when a million and one things need to get out of the office and the phones ringing off the hook while trying to play mechanic! Lots of chaos in the kitchen this evening as well but the good news is I survived!

Eating was good-egg white omlette an orange and a english muffin for breakfast, nuts and raisins for a mid morning snack, turkey and swiss with deli mustard and lots of greenery on a whole wheat pita for lunch and a banana for mid afternoon snack, dinner was homemade ham and bean soup. Down a little bit in the water department today.

Off to walk Otto now and have lots of things to do this evening around the house but may go veg on a couch somewhere instead.

Hope your wooly booly Wednesday evening treats you well.
