Hey there Phyllis. Glad to hear that things are cooking right along now that Johnny has come home. There are worse things than that to cut into your computer time. Oprah is on while I'm at work, so I don't usually get to see it.

This week's positives:

1. Mom has been able to spend a lot of time at the home with Grandma and I think she's found some peace with the fact that Grandma is going to die soon.

2. A friend at work taught me how to play cribbage and we're setting up a cribbage tournament at work to be played on Fridays at lunch time. I like to learn new things and this is a doozy.

3. I only have to work 3 days this week and my boss is not here! I may actually get something done.

Today's workout is step class this evening.

I have way too many 15 minute projects. I need to get a timer....

Have a goo day!

Good Morning,

It's a might bit chillier today than it was yesterday with a brisk wind that makes it feel even colder.

I saw Oprah yesterday and I would have loved to have been in that audience!

It's back to the office I go today but only for 2 days so I think I can handle that! I can only hope that my desk is not a total disaster! Workout first thing this morning was the treadmill and squats and lunges and if the wind doesn't die down it will be a brisk walk with Otto this evening.

Top 3 Tuesday includes:

1. A wonderful relaxing day yesterday mixed with just the right porportion of business plus pleasure!

2. Back to within 1 lb of my goal weight with the help of some better eating and better exercising.

3. Finally going to see the ugly, dog hair infested couch leaving the basement this evening!

Hope your Tuesday is a good one.

Susan

Good morning! It's a day where I have a bunch of things to do but have to wait til certain times to get them done. I hate that.I like to be totally in charge of what I do, when I do , how I do.Yeah, right!!I can't even remember the last time I was actually in charge of my day ,my time, my whatever.I think it's being in charge of my whatever I miss the most!

Ok, so maybe I'll hit the treadmill before I do anything else.If I do it will be an easy walk. Got up with a headache for which there is no rhyme or reason though I suspect Flo is somewhere behind.

My positives;

1)I accepted getting older with grace, dignity ....and chocolate chip cookies.

2)I've made time to spend with friends and family.

3)I've had some really good workouts that have made me feel so good.

4)A bonus positive, I'm getting pumkin pie this week. Life is good!!!!

Been away from the computer for a few days. DD has had a virus and been home sick.

1. DD is feeling better = I am starting to relax. I hate it when she's sick.

2. I'm thankful for my fur family, I can always count on them, and they on me. Though one of the goats has started nipping.

Oprah's show...funny I was going to ask, too.

I was just going to post to ask how your grandmother is doing. I've thought about it several times and gotten sidetracked. Glad to hear your mother is finding some peace.

I've never played Cribbage before, but years ago my Mom used to talk about it. We haven't played board games in ages, and I really like them. I got Rob the new Surf Monopoly at a surf shop and a glass chess set for part of his Christmas, so we should be getting back into games before long. I do play Free Cell on the computer pretty often, if that counts for anything. ;-)

It's chillier and overcast here today too after making it up to 82 yesterday. The computer says the local temperature is only 49!!! Yuck!

My physical activity today will be scrubbing floors. I seem to spend my life scrubbing floors!! I have several calls I've got to make regarding our luncheon on the 2nd I'm organizing and about the newsletter. I'm getting the articles in that I need, so I can start the layout. We'll have a lot of pictures in this issue, since we've had so many actitivies this past month. It'll be a challenge to fit everything in.

Positives:

1. Cards are ready to go except stamps, all gifts but 3 small ones are bought and wrapped for Rob's birthday and Christmas except last minute bows, and decorations are down from the attic. All items I have left are back from the Festival of Trees.

2. I don't have to worry about cooking this week, so it will be a holiday for me too, plus I'm back on SBD except for Thursday.

3. I sold a lot of the things I'd bought for the Festival of Trees.

Of course it counts for something. I'm all for anything that keeps the little grey cells perky and active. It's so easy to just let it slip away. Cribbage has been a real stretch for me as I'm not used to doing anything that complex.

My sister has purchased a bunch of board games for the kids this Christmas. It'll be fun for them all, since both my sister and BIL are on similar schedules at last and my niece understands that games have rules (you ought to hear her explain how to play 5-card stud!). I'm not so sure her little brother is ready to learn that lesson, or to accept that he can't win everything every time.

Hi, Phyllis...I did catch the Oprah show yesterday...twice. It comes on at 2 different times here. That audience really made out again. I always wonder how they get everything home...especially the ones that fly in for the show.

I don't have a real workout planned today. I am going to Physical Therapy this afternoon and I want to see what is recommended. I did some marathon shopping for Thanksgiving so far...had to pick up my free turkey.

Top 3 Tuesday:

1-I weighed in at WW and stayed the same. At first I was a little disappointed, but then I realized it was a good thing and now I know what I have to do keep losing.

2-I realized how lucky we are in this country with the overabundance of food available all the time.

3-I got back to the gym and it felt great.
