Our day turned out to be very nice. It was a little touch and go for awhile because DD and DBF have not been getting along the past 2 days. Well...everything is fine now and DBF came for dinner...surprising all of us. He is in the Suffolk County Police Academy and he wasn't supposed to be off. They were let out really early so they could spend time with family and friends. There will also be engagement soon...the diamond is going to be reset in the very near future. (Long story, but if anyone wants to know, I will share.Actually some of you may remember about DD.)

So..we are all smiling including DD.

The meal was good, the company was too even though it was only 4 of us. I did well until dessert...but I couldn't resist the Italian pastries DD's DBF brought over. I am so glad I got to get out and walk today.

I am so sorry I watched Survivor Wednesday night. I cannot believe

Morning Grace, My day was nice especially since my kids and I were indeed all together and I did not have to cook. We had a really nice afternoon and evening. Got home about 7:30 and put my PJ's on and made some tea. Watched some TV and then went to bed about 10. Please fill me in about DD and DBF, I am sure I either missed the story or it was before I showed up here. You can emial me or call me. I am worried about you going for this operation while your "new" foot is still aching so. Please becareful. Let me know how things are going.

We had what we're calling a "different" kind of day. It was just the five of us but that is a feat in itself these days. In between courses father and son were outside bonding and doing some tinkering on DS's car. After we celebrated DD's birthday here DH and I went over to DD BF's house for "meet the parents" and other assorted relatives and have dessert with them. She had a huge assortment of pies, cookies and had made DD a birthday cake, but since I already had to change into a more "comfortable" pair of pants I passed on the dessert.

Glad to hear you had a nice day Grace and that things are going well with your DD and BF and that wedding bells appear to be ringing again! And Happy Birthday to your DD!

Hi, Deb...glad the day went well. I got into my pj's early too...had to change for expanging belly. Woke up with an upset stomach from eating desserts. I haven't had sugar in a while and the desserts were too much.

My foot is aching because of the physical therapy. They really pushed me and then I pushed myself with getting out for walks on the nice days.

Oh...DD and DBF were engaged before. The wedding was set for Feb 16th, the hall and church were booked, photog gotten and gown picked bought. He got cold feet and called it off 6 months before the wedding. Talk about devestation! Anyway, they started dating again after the unwedding date and things are well now. He was afraid they were moving too quickly, he wasn't making enough and stress with NYPD. Now they are both making more money, DD is almost tenured and he is in the Suffolk PD academy and making a lot more money.

Call me anytime. I know you are so busy and I am not doing much. This way I won't take you from anything you are doing.

Keep in touch. Good luck with your speed writing.

I am anxiously waiting to hear what they do to John when they find out. You are right, these kind of things do have a way of coming out. I am wondering how the show is going to handle it.

Glad your different kind of day was so nice. Bonding, celebrating and meeting the parents all in one day. I do know what you mean with getting the family together around the table. It seems to get harder as the kids get older and have their own activities, jobs, etc.

Wedding bells may not be around the corner, but they certainly are getting closer. They are thinking 1 1/2 years so they can save money for a place to live and not cause "panic" to set in again. We had a couple of tense days and now we are all smiling again!

Grace

Happy B'day to your DD too!

Hi, Michele. That darn hat is always there when I post whether I have the cl in front of my name or not.

Does sound like you had a great day Thurs. I can't believe the weekend is almost over. Another new beginnings day tomorrow. My last week to exercise before the next surgery. I am going to make it a take care of Grace week mostly. I don't want any other injuries before Friday.

Good seeing you. I will post at your board once I am all healed up from surgery # 2.
