Howdy. Margie...good to see you back on the board. Sorry you have been so sick. We've all had that here, too. DD is the last to get it, but the rest of us are still coughing! Phyllis, I'm with you on the "easy to slip into bad habits" thing. Yikes!

So, this morning I'm driving DD to school. She is carrying two big projects that are due. Then I'll head straight up to the office to crank out a bit of work for a couple hours. Then back home again for my workout and to work in my home office the rest of the day. Youngest DS gets out early on Monday's. My workout will be power cardio on the treadmill, hitting the mat for ab work and biceps, triceps and back.

Hope everyone has a great start to a great week!

Sassy

Good Morning,

Margie, sounds like you had a very nice Thanksgiving. Nothing like seeing the world through the eyes of a child!

Phyllis-your post was exactly what I was thinking this morning. I need to get back into a routine. I've really been inconsistent in my workouts and I've been eating too much. I've been realy consistent in that department. Unfortunately a poor night's sleep didn't inspire me to get up this morning so I'll have to aim for an after work workout. It's going to be another crazy week for me. Only 2 days of work this week as DD has her surgery scheduled for Wednesday so I'll be off for that and then I'll be taking Thursday and Friday as vacation days. Have to find a groove and get myself back in it.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Yes, yes, yes!!!!Feeling the need to get back into routine. Also feeling the need to head to cabin far away from everything and everbody.Love to have snowy trails to run on.Come back to the cabin for hot tea and quiet time.Have a quiet week with just myself and the voices :)I may have alot of time off in Jan and I'm giving some thought to getting away by myself for awhile.Just not sure where to go!!

But I digress, we're speaking of routine, exercise and getting my butt back in gear!I got out for a run yesterday and did some lower body work.Throwing out the TG stuff sounds like a good plan. That's just the food right? No family members????Again, I digress!!!!

Workout; a run or maybe a power walk with the incline up on the treadmill.UB workout cause I'm way behind on my buff schedule.

Rest of the day; birds and whatever else comes along.Have a good one!

Good morning to everyone!

Margie: What a deal on the tricycle, and what a perfect gift! I'm glad you are feeling better!

Sassy, what kind of work do you do at home? I've always been envious of people who can pull it off and a life too.

Susan, what kind of surgery is your daughter having? I hope it goes well!

Phyllis, Dear Phyllis, I really need to start a workout that I can turn into a habbit. What can I do? How do I get started? I don't have a tredmill, but do have a Cardioglide, I could really use a mentor to get me going, anyone up for the job?

Good morning everyone. Hope your weekend was grand. We did absolutely nothing almost all weekend long...well, laundry and such, but nearly nothing. Watched movies, goofed around with the dogs...you know. No family. No turkey. No nothing. It was heavenly.

Yesterday I had a killer workout with body sculpting and cardio and I'm really feeling it today. So today will be a rest day for me I think with a little yoga this evening to work out the kinks.

Have an 'uber' day!

A cardio glide is a great alternative to a treadmill.

"...it's going to be a Christmas filled with gift certificates this year because every time I go shopping I hem and haw and just don't seem able to make up my mind what to buy. Anyone else run into this?"

Yup. Doing the same thing, except for a couple of clear-cut gifts, both for FIL. At least with a gift certificate or gift card, people can shop at their leisure and get something they really need/want. My concern is the stipulations some of the gift cards come with, which might send me to gift checks from one of the credit card companies. Will do more research before I fork over my cash.

Isn't it fun seeing the world through a toddler's eyes?

Hope you and Tom feel better soon.

Good Monday Morning!

My workout today is light cardio. Had a good workout Sunday evening. I'm almost 100% - still going easy on weight work for my legs, but UB and ab work is going well.

Not quite ready to part with the Thanksgiving leftovers. We made a dent in most of the side dishes last night, and tossed whatever was left, but the bird is still kind of a looming presence in the refrigerator; there's enough for a really hefty sandwich or a decent dinner for two left in there. If most of the remainder isn't eaten by Wednesday, it's going to receive a decent burial at the bottom of the trash can. Salmon for dinner tonight - I actually am missing fish! And DH and I will have a small piece of the leftover pumpkin pie (just the filling for me) tonight and kiss the rest goodbye; same for the lemon meringue (whatever possessed me to get one of those I don't know - temporary insanity, I guess).

Have a great one, everybody!
