Good morning everyone,

Guess I'm the first one to post this morning.

Margie, I got a Visa gift certificate for someone and thought it was a great gift. They seemed very happy with it.

I thought about you yesterday. I was in my kitchen and thinking I need to get rid of so much "stuff".Made me think of you and a post you had along those lines.

Hope you and DH are feeling better.

Miss P

I'm amazed that lemon meringue could be considered a New England thing; I would have thought warmer climate. And I certainly never would have thought of it for fall, except that I thought in my head it would be lighter than pumpkin; according to the South Beach Diet, it's probably loaded with more sugar than any other pie choice I could have picked, but it was nice and refreshing after all those fall foods at dinner.

I'm sure your Thanksgiving this year was wonderful, but a bit bittersweet, also. I hope you got a happy memory of your mom baking her pies.

I keep trying to get to the furniture manufacturer's website, but I'm missing it. Best thing to do is go to www.jordansfurniture.com, click on bedroom, click on nightstands, click on more contemporary nightstands, and go to the third page and the one in the lower left corner. It says it's contemporary, but I think it crosses time periods quite nicely. It reminds me of the old British Empire furniture you see in movies, like Out of Africa. I'd tell you to look at the dressers, but they show only triple dressers and we didn't get one of those. Ours are tall 5-drawer chests; a triple dresser wouldn't have fit - none of our walls, except where the bed (still headboard-less) is, are long enough.

The company we're getting the lamps from is Hubbardton Forge; we saw the lamps in a catalogue at Norwood Lighting Center. I haven't tried to view a website for them.

Margie - I goofed - make that the one in the top left corner on the third page.

(That's how I give directions - I say go left when I clearly mean go right, and get mad at the person listening to me for going the wrong way)....

Link to the lamps - we're getting a natural linen shade. Thought about the terracotta color, but chickened out.
