Very, very cold here today. Callin' for a "weather event" over the next couple of days. Sounds interesting.

No workout for me today. I have a doctor's appointment at 9:00 then on to the office.

Thankfuls:

1. Time I spend with my children and DH.

2. My toasty warm home and flannel jammies.

Hugs

Sassy

0400 IS early every morning!! ;-) I don't know how you do it!

I spent much of yesterday picking out paint colors again at Republican Headquarters (this time more what I'd recommend instead of what one woman who works there wants) or

Good morning!Rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow is all headed here from now until Sunday!Dh is on the road today and I'm worried.Hopefully he will be home before it gets here. Why do men always think they are invinceable in any weather???

I have tons of work in Cl and lots of errands to run.But I am determined to get a run in today. It's so easy to put the workouts off for everything else.Don't want to fall into that habit.

BIL called last night and said"you are going to help me Sunday, aren't you?"I said I hadn't planned on it because I thought if he wanted me too he would have said something before then.He said he hadn't had a chance, In the end I said I would help.On one hand I felt like I had to address him not asking sooner. On the other hand I wonder if it was just bitchy and I should have just said yes.I try to take the higher road but too often get off course.I need to work on that.

Ok, so today I'm getting it in gear. Finally put away the pumpkins and put up the village. If Mother Nature and other family members cooperate I'll have my tree up this weekend.

Thankfuls; 1)For friends that take the time to listen and care.2)For the unexpected good things that happen.3)For my family 4)For being healthy enough to exercise 5) For this season that makes me stop and reflect on all I have and help me work towards being worthy of it

Have a goo one gang!!!

Phyllis....*slapslapslap*...0400 is early every single day. Do you really expect it to be later by some miracle? ;-)

Cold today, but not as bad as it has been. We had a little rain/snow/whatever spat tuesday night but it didn't amount to much. Supposed to be more this weekend. I'll believe it when I see it. Today is the annual Holiday Luncheon at work. Hey it's free food and there is usually enough left over from my meal for lunch the next day. I'm just hoping they have pie. I've been on a pie kick for about a week now. This has to stop.

Today's workout will probably be a step class this evening. Blew off my workout last night. I was just too tired from dealing with all the family stuff. Man how I seriously dislike this time of year.

My Dad was in the hospital with one of his 'attacks.' The doc says that Dad has a couple of arteries that are 70% blocked. Going to find out tomorrow what they need to do about it. Well, dad finally got what he wanted. He's been convinced for the last 25 years that he has a heart condition. Now he does. Sorry to sound so crude, but I'm tired of him and his crying wolf and embellishing what the doctor says.

Today will be a better day. I kinda twisted my foot/ankle at the South center the other night so I need to take it easy, but I think the step class will be ok.

Patty: You are not being bitchy. With all that you have to do in your own life, I'm surprised your BIL had the nerve to ask for your help and you were right to be honest with him about it. You are waaaaay nicer than I am. I want to be you when I grow up.

Have an uber day.

Good Morning,

Time to get things back in control. Workouts have been few and far between and eating has been mindless and out of control. So time to get serious-treadmill and weights done for the day. I'm ready for a shower and some breakfast and much better and healthier eating. We're expecting some nasty weather over the next few days so I'm going to try to get out there this morning and get some shopping done.

Phyllis-my sympathy on the hot flashes. I know the feeling-DH is piling the covers on and I'm pulling them on and off all night and making sure I wear layers at work so I can remove some portion of clothing at work and keep my dignity!

Thankfuls:

1. DD's surgery is over and she's feeling good this morning.

2. Vacation days that have allowed me to be able to be home for the next 2 days

3. Extra sleep this morning

Good morning, all!

The forecasters are predicting a "weather event" up this way for Friday and Saturday; they're even saying "Nor'easter", but none of them have that crazed glint in their eyes about it just yet, so there's still a chance it'll be just bursts of heavy flurries without beach erosion, coastal flooding, whiteout conditions, and all the other things that go along.

My niece's sleepover is cancelled this weekend. She's got bronchitis again, her little brother is pretty sick (fever, coughing, so much coughing that he gags himself into getting sick), and my sister is also suffering from bronchitis, which I'm afraid may develop into pneumonia - as is her pattern lately - if she doesn't get some rest, which won't happen as long as the little ones aren't well. I offered to go over Saturday to help my BIL do some stuff around the house and run some errands, but if that storm kicks in, I'm grounded and can only worry from a distance. The dr. has said just keep plying the little guy with children's Motrin and cough medicine and it'll run its course. As for my niece, her parents are seriously considering a tonsillectomy for her during winter school break in February. She's quite perturbed by that possibility, so I'm off to look for a kid's book about hospitals and operations to put her overactive 6-yr-old imagination at ease.

At least she and I have the Nutcracker to look forward to on December 14.

Workout tonight? I hope so; depends when we get home. Lots to do after work, including (I hope) a haircut; I need to have my wings clipped!

Thanksfuls?

1) That everyone will be healthy again, eventually.

2) A new and efficient heating system.

3) Mittens (not gloves) and hooded coats.

Milestones: I now fit into a size medium blouse with a bit of room to spare (I can even button the bottom button), and the scale is headed toward a number I haven't seen in over 4 years, putting me just about halfway toward my goal weight - I'll know for sure on Sunday weigh-in.

Have a great day, everyone!
