Just not the shopper I used to be...

I must be getting old (did I say that?) I just don't have the stamina for crowds, lines, traffic or for that matter people in general. I always seem to be in front of or in back of that one person who's got to complain. I was going to suggest to this individual that maybe she should man a cash register and see if she could make the line move any faster! Of course she was the one to get to the register and tell the cashier to start ringing but she needed to look for one more thing! I was only out for 3 hours and the first 1 1/2 was fine going to Best Buy and Target but then decided I needed to make a trip to the mall-and to think it was a Thursday morning! I just hope anymore shopping doesn't involve another trip there. Ended up at Panera to pick up lunch for DD and myself. I had a great grilled chicken caeser salad and the way I ate it you'd think I hadn't seen food for a VERY LONG TIME! I'm now home for the afternoon, fully fed and maybe thinking of working on some Christmas cards!

"I think the reason I had such a good time was that I didn't have to have the things I bought..."

Kat, that's probably the reason that shopping trip was so much fun. DH and I are going to a big mall tonight. Not having to buy, but looking and starting to get our gift certificates and seeing more of the decorations. With the coming storm, it might turn out to be a crazy night at this particular mall, but I'm going to try to enjoy the madness instead of getting bu&&ed out about it. With it being a Friday night and having 2 days for recovery, I'll probably be able to enjoy it more without getting stressed about having to get home and get some rest before work the next day.

And Rhonda, I have to say your comment about being happy to be healthy and able to do it while we can put it in a very different light. Thanks for the reminder that this season is supposed to be fun along with the effort.

You can still email me at: katsonnet@aol.com (I had a separate AOL account at home, but the katsonnet originated at work!).

I miss being able to read posts from here everyday, too!

Hugs,
