4)The guys have been getting me Christmas figurines called Possible Dreams for a few years. They are so beautiful. They've had some trouble finding them lately and may switch off to something different.Means alot because it's a tradition for them and they put alot of time and thought into what they are going to get each year.
4)Each year, mostly, my sisters and Mom and I bake sugar cookies. Some years I make cherry bars.Need to make sure I do something this year.

1. If you put up a tree, do you put up a live one or artificial? How do you decorate it (a theme, eclectic, etc.)?
An artificial 6 ft. fir tree. Eclectic, but home is usually decorated in deep red and deep green colors. I try to add to my decor each year with a few pieces like Christmas teapots or plates or Santas, bears, nutcrackers, etc. I guess the closest thing I have to a theme would be Old World Toyland.
2. Do you have people over for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, go somewhere else, or spend it just with family at home?
I usually go to the midnight Christmas Eve church service and then spend the rest of the time home with my son. This year, probably before Christmas, some friends want to do a progressive party thing, so I'm game for that.
3. Have you been humming any particular Christmas song lately -- one you've heard out that's gotten stuck in your head or a favorite?
I love almost every Christmas song except that one about grandma being run over by the reindeer, but I've been especially humming The Carpenter's tune "Merry Christmas Darling" this year. Always loved that one.
4. Do you collect any particular kind of Christmas or seasonal decorations?
If I had more room it would be teapots, but perhaps I will begin collecting Christmas plates.
5. Do you have a Christmas speciality you bake or cook every year for Christmas? If so, what?
I used to make a Friendship Cake, but not since I began working at Dillard's. I guess Christmas cookies as I make them every single year.

We have an artificial one.
