Have had a goo day so far...

DH and I have spent the day together...kiddies have been outside playing in the snow all day so we let our neighbor know we were heading out and she kept an eye on them. They were playing in her yard with her kids. She even fed them...she's such a great friend! Anyway. DH and I headed up to church to do a few things and then to CVS for tree lights and he dragged me into the new Spanish/Mexican place for lunch. Just the two of us. Very nice to just sit there and chat. We just don't know what to do about my job and all. Keep talking about it, complaining about it, then I turn around and try to make it work and blah blah blah. I keep turning it over to Him and then yanking it back and trying to take control again. So we basically got nothing resolved, but enjoyed some down time together. Kids are back out playing now. I'm going to put up the tree lights so we can finally decorate the tree tonight. What is everyone else doing?

Third ocular migraine in 4 days today. Don't know what's up with that unless my hormones are going nuts again. I was going great guns getting the artificial tree put together and fluffed when the blind spots hit, so I went to lie down. For some reason, it's taking longer to go away today. The blind spots are gone, but still have some after effects. I took some magnesium to see if that would help.
Rob put both of the two 6' light trees together. They are sitting in our dining room still. Tim got most of the lights along the roof (green swags with red bows in the middle mostly, a white set of swags with red-and-green wreaths in the middle, and a 5' stretch of halographic snowflakes in the very center over the entry) and white lights around the 5 front windows, but just didn't have it in him to do the 3 levels of shrubs tonight. Those have to be done at night to get them spaced right, but there's always tomorrow night. I'm going to continue fluffing out the fake tree and putting white lights on it. Still need to spread all the branches on those 2 light sculpture trees before they're placed out front too.
If everyone is up to it after dinner, I'd like for us to go get our real tree tonight. It seems more like Christmas when it's dark and cold out and the places have fires burning. Maybe we'll make one in the fireplace tonight.
I still have to fluff all the wreaths for the windows and the big one for the

Got our real tree tonight. It's the first time in my life I have ever gotten the first one I looked at!! It's tall (about 8 or 9 feet) and wide and shaped so pretty. The thermometer said it was 52 out, but so help me, the skin on my face burned from the cold. I could never make it up north any more. We went to Barnes and Noble first, so Tim and Rob could get a latte and a hot chocolate. I resisted, but we do have the makings and marshmallow fluff to tempt me here at home.
I have finished fluffing the fake tree, but still have lots of fluffing to do on the light trees and the window wreaths. Door wreath is up. We're making progress. Think I'll start unloading all the book cases for my big project tomorrow.
Ho Ho Ho! Have a good evening everyone!
