I was just thinking about that saying yesterday. Are you in my head???Scary!!

I'm embarrassed to admit that with all my whining about the party I had a great time.BIL had hired someone to come help with food, punch , etc but they didn't show up.He was a basket case when I got over there. But we jumped in and things went beautifully.I was even getting hugs goodbye from people when they left.Never met them before in my life!Wore my 2.5 inch heels, wow.More than this chicken girl can handle.

Ok, finally getting my hair done today.I'm way past needing it.Will definitely hit the treadmill today. Yesterday I got on it and it felt so good. The tree did not get put up yesterday so that will be done tonight.Chickens and a few errands in there somewhere today.Looked across the snow to the front of the house and realized my fall wreath is still up.On my list of things to do.

Hope all you guys are digging out from the snow. And hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday!

It is a beautiful crisp clear day in Northern Virginia. Still have snow on the housetops and ground. The sky is gorgeous.

This morning I'll be hitting the treadmill after I drop the youngest darling off at school. I need to dash by the office and pick up some work, but I'm going to work from home today (haven't told my boss that yet, though ;)

Had our Hanging of the Tree service at church last night. Got the tree up last night. Today I'll be doing laundry and cleaning and working on a couple of projects for the office. DH said he would go to the grocery store for me tonight. He's been a good boy lately...wish I knew what Santa could get him for Christmas!

Have a mag day!

Sassy

P.S. Some of us never need to fake it ;)

Ok, I'll fake it.

Today is my first yoga class. May be my last as well, I don't know. I'm looking forward to it, but I just don't know what to expect. Will report tomorrow unless they twist me into a pretzel and I can't type.

No more than a smidgen of holiday spirit here. Still trying to find a way to ditch the family Christmas gathering. DH says to grin and bear it and leave early. That may be it. I'm such a Scrooge. ;-)

Have a great day and I hope those who are snowed in get dug out safely.

Good (snowy) morning! Lori, you will love yoga. Just relax, focus on just being there, be easy with yourself, don't expect just experience.

Well, we got about 15 inches of snow, it is soooo beautiful. My sweet DD is home from school again today sick. She was sick the week of Thanksgiving, then for part of the week after. She had a couple of good days, then wham, sick again. She has a nasty cold and a horrible cough. DH had to stay with her today, I've taken off lots of time to stay home with her, but I still wish I were there with her.

Major UB workout this weekend, shoveling, so I think I'll work on the LB, give my arms and sore neck & wrist a break.

Good morning, everyone ---

The commute to work wasn't bad - probably because the school systems have shut down at least for the day and people are home with their kids, or else still trying to dig out. Our main roads and highways are in pretty good shape; the side roads are another story. And the streets of Boston are plowed, but pedestrian passage is poor, especially at the street corners and traffic lights. Like anyone pays attention to those on a good day...

After DH finished shoveling last night, he found a nice surprise under all the snow - both Sunday newspapers had been delivered. I also said we're not waiting to come to an agreement about whether to buy a snowblower - we're going out this week and getting our own, period, cost be da*^%d. I can't help him much in a storm like this one, and I'm not going to watch him cripple his back digging out anymore. And if he ever does get hurt in the midst of it all, we'll be sunk without one; at least I could learn to operate it.

It's a beautiful day here today, with bright sun and bracing winds. My workout tonight will be a return to a full one - no more shilly-shallying. I told DH to make sure I get off the sofa and go downstairs and work tonight and that I wouldn't get cranky at him for doing so.

Christmas cards are done and just waiting to get to the post office.

How about those Patriots fans? 2/3 of the ticket holders for the game yesterday actually showed up, and sat in cold seats and snowpiles to watch the game. I loved the little impromptu scoring celebration they had - just tossing snow in the air; looked like little explosions all over the stadium. Someone asked me if we would have gone to the game if DH and I had tickets. If we lived closer than 7 miles to the stadium and could have walked, I have to say we probably would have considered giving it a fair shot; we're as nutty about them as anyone else in the stands, except maybe for the guy who religiously applies silver, red and blue body paint and has shown up at every home game (including yesterday's) for at least the last decade.

Have a great day, everyone!

You have to give those Pats fans credit. With fans like those they certainly deserve to win!! Congrats! The Jaguars have finally started winning some games, but it's too late for them to go anywhere with it. Oh, well, new coach, lots of new players, maybe next year...

I think you're wise to insist on getting a snowblower, not only for DH's back, but for his heart. I've heard shoveling snow is a major cause of heart attacks too.

Heart health is the other reason I want one, but I don't want to keep pushing that reason in his face; his family members are, for lack of a better term, "minimizers" - they don't discuss even critical health issues at all, whereas my family will discuss a hangnail until it's healed. Both of us have HBP controlled by meds and he does his workouts more faithfully than I do; I don't want, and he doesn't need, any more exercise like that.

It's sunny and pretty cold here too. I think it got down to 37 last night. Glad Tim and Rob got the outside lights done before the temperature dropped so much.

I'm kind of sore from all the physical exertion of moving stuff this weekend. There was a lot of bending and lifting involved in unloading and reloading all those bookcases and the other stuff I did, so maybe I got in a workout yesterday, after all. I didn't get to the window wreaths -- just ran out of gas before I could.

When we got up this moring, it was almost like getting up to a new house, very cool! We were overdue for a change after having it the same way for 10 1/2 years.

Gotcha! We'll keep that reason just among the board.

Your family sounds like mine!!
