Good for you! Doesn't it feel good to come back?

And good for Annie! I'm so glad you took her into your home and your hearts. She will be fine in time. Keep the pupdates coming!

Annie is a very lucky dog to have found you (or been sent to you). Many years ago an abused dog adopted me. I think it must have taken over a year for him to fully trust me. To make a long story short, he was lying on the porch of my apartment and I picked up the grills to our hibachi (sp?) and turned quickly to bring them in to be washed. He freaked out, got up but stayed in a crouched down position, crawled off the porch into the grass and layed down, I think he was waiting for me to beat him. So I tossed the grills on the ground, got on my hands and knees and crawled to him. There we spent a great deal of time, I petted and spoke softly to him, telling him that I would never hurt him. The only way I was able to get him out of his moment of fear was to get his favorite toy, a hard plastic shark, and start to play with him. Needless to say, the grills stayed where they were, I cleaned them when Moby wasn't watching.

Patience is the key, Annie will be the best dog you'll every have, Moby was for me.
