Phyllis, I know you'll be right back on track with the eating thing. I told DH the other day that it is impossible to not eat carbs during the holidays. The holidays are all about carbs. However, we can maintain control (most of the time). Your workouts have been so great lately that you'll be fine.
Susan and Rhonda, keeping you and your families in my prayers.
Margie, hope you're doing okay.
Shar and all of you that have not been posting much...we miss you and love to see your posts!
Hugs everyone.
Sassy
I want to take a nap later. I've just not gotten enough sleep the last few nights.
Other than that... wrapping some more gifts. Workout? Right now I feel too tired, and I'll feel moreso after rehearsal. I might run later if I'm up to it. Al and I went to the n'hood park yesterday, and we "raced" back home - she on her little bike, me running beside her. 2/10ths of a mile ;^)!

Hope you get a snooze in today.

I'm falling into that nasty mind frame of "well I worked out I can eat it".Need to nip it in the bud.I'm pulling out some jeans and making them my goal to work towards.Don't want to go into the the new year having to undo all the holidays have done and then start from there. One good thing I have been doing, actually two, is having a small salad with lunch and dinner and eating a few apples a day. And no the apples aren't in pie.
Donna, I hope the waether holds for you and your neice to make your outting tomorrow. That is so sweet that she is calling you for a count down!Sassy, I hope you are feeling better soon. You've had more than your share. For those who are dealing with illness or sadness in your famlies please know you are in my thoughts.Shar, I love coming to the board and seeing you posting again.I've missed ya!Everyone have a Sensational Saturday!!!!!

No workout scheduled today. I'm taking it as easy as I can. I'm going out to do a little local window and real shopping in a little while. I was all revved up to take the early train into Boston and do some Christmas shopping in the Back Bay area of town, but DH has really been hit hard by the flu and I don't want to be too far away in case he has real trouble later on. Huge headache, chills, 102 fever, and aches, plus a cough that he can't even cough anymore because his muscles hurt so much. I'm washing my hands constantly and I've practically strapped a can of Lysol spray onto my belt. It's in the back of my mind that it might be better for me to be out of the house, but I don't want to be gone all day on both days.
Tomorrow is the Nutcracker with my niece, and because of me having to rely on the train it's going to be practically an all-day affair. I just hope the bad snow holds off until late in or after the ballet is over so I can get her back to her mom and dad safely. We're meeting at my mom's condo in town before the show, and in all likelihood back there after the show so no one has to drive an inordinate distance in potentially unsafe conditions. I think my surprise tea at the Four Seasons is going to be snowed out. Oh, well. Another time.
Have a great day, everyone!
Donna
Mornin' all.

Hit the ground running this morning. I was off to an early morning Jazz class and then a quick run through the grocery store. Now I'm starting laundry (Pike's Peak here I come) and hoping to get some semblance of order to the rest of the house today. MIL got us a huge box of oranges and grapefruits from Gracewood Groves in Florida and I'm scarfing down a grapefruit right now. So wonderful and sweet, they're the only grapefruits I'll eat. So I enjoy them while they're here. Yes, I eat the whole thing in one sitting. Probably way too many carbs, but it keeps me from eating the pop tarts at the same time. LoL.
Hope you have a great day.

Going to be busy here. We get our tree today, so that'll take a few hours to sort out. Not to mention, shuffling the living room around to accommodate it. We need to move my computer from the corner where it lives and dh is going to do some maintenance on it for me, as I'm getting a bunch of errors.
Still nursing sickies at our house. Adam has a nasty hack and if it's not better, I'll be taking him to the doctor's on Monday!
My oldest dd returned my mixer last night and brought me a new Christmas stocking and new toques that she had made for the boys. Now I can get on with my cooking and baking.
I can't believe that it's less than two weeks until Christmas. I'm sure you're probably sick of the snow already Donna, but I sure wouldn't mind if you'd ship some of it our way!!! I don't even recall the last time we had a white Christmas. Usually grey and drizzling here!
I'm going to attempt some weights later in the day.
Have a great one everyone. Sassy, I sure hope your feeling better soon! If you're like me, there's just too much to do, to be sick this time of year!!!

Thanks for your prayers, Sassy. Hope that taking it a little easier today has paid off so you can lick that bug once and for all. What a bad time of year to be sick, as if there's ever a good one. I agree with you about the carbs.
Hugs,
Rhonda
