Snowy Sunday Workouts...

Happy Snowy Sunday everyone. I've been awake since about 4:30 and up since about 5:00. Spent some time at the window enjoying the peace and quiet and snow blanketed neighborhood. Absolutely stunning and humbling. A great way to start the day!

Still sick. I don't think I'll be heading to church this morning but hoping DH will take everyone else with him when he goes ;) No workout planned for me today, but I am going to get in a workout tomorrow no matter how I feel. Today I'll finish up laundry and start cleaning out my home office.

What is everyone else doing today? What do you have planned for physical exercise? Mental exercise? Spiritual exercise? Just plain old FUN?????

Snowy Hugs.

Good morning Sassy!!I'm so sorry to read you are still sick.Does the home office have to be cleaned today?Maybe your body would benefit more from a day of rest and relaxation.Listen to some music, read a book, nap;give your body a chance to get better.

Snowy snowy, snowy here. Very pretty.I'm really hoping to get on my treadmill today but it will be a full house so may have to switch to something else.I've gotten in some great runs the past couple days.I know I need to do different things but running seems to be the thing that suits me mentally and physically.I've been much more mindful of my diet the past few days and was surprised to see I'm down a pound today.Gee, I never considered losing weight during the holidays!LOL I'm going to work harder at it this next week because next weekend we do our baking.I want to enjoy the goodies but I want to be able to get into my clothes more.A naked Princess is so tacky!!!

At some point I want to head upstairs, play some Christmas music and do some wrapping. Also would like to bake Ryan some cookies since he had to head out to work today to move snow.Need to get my backside in gear and head to CL.

Have a happy healthy day!

Miss P

I'm really in need of some cardio today, but I don't see it in the cards.

The tree went up last night and I'm hoping to put the gingerbread house together with the boys today and get some baking done. I made a double batch of shortbread and 1/2 is already gone! (Not my doing though!)

Susan, hope you are able to shake that bug. I was up all night with my youngest. Had a fever of 103, but it seems to be under control now. He's full of beans this morning.

On the other hand, my youngest dd came home from work yesterday and said she'd made a trip to the emergency clinic that afternoon. She had a blurry patch in her vision for a couple of hours. By the time she got there the patch had gone, but the doctor thought it might have been a small blood clot that passed through her brain! UGH! She has to do a follow up with our GP! If it's not one thing it's another!

Donna, hope you are having a wonderful time with your niece. Enjoy the Nutcracker!

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Hope you're feeling better by now, Sassy. I got in several miles of walking today, but we didn't do the actual tour of bed and breakfast inns. We got to bed so late after Tim's delayed flight, and for some reason I couldn't get to sleep until almost 4 AM, so I wasn't up to a structured tour and squeezing up narrow staircases past lots of people. We did walk along the streets to see the outside of the inns and went in lots of shops on St. George Street looking for art and other things for the great room. We must have walked the one street 3 or 4 times alone. We also splurged and had ice cream for lunch.

We're heading to the 7:20 showing of "Stuck on You." Oh, Tim went to pick up Rob and was so surprised to see his haircut. Rob said the first thing he said was, "Does your mother know about this?" LOL! He does like it though.

Yikes Shar about your daughter, I have never heard of such a thing..and if I had the blurry vision like that I'd be a bit scared.

Shar, your daughter may have been having an ocular migraine. When I get them, my vision gets sort of dancing spots that become blind spots. Most of the time it seems to last for about 20 minutes, although there have been times when I've had after effects all day. I don't get the excruciating pain and nausea that I used to get with a full blown migraine. It is due to tiny blood vessels breaking and then repairing themselves I'm told. Lately, my hormones seem to be playing a part in it, and looking at a flash of bright light (such as Christmas lights or sunlight off the back of a car window) will trigger them. Sometimes smelling cologne that's too strong will do it too. I hope that's all it was with her or just a one time minor thing.

Hope everyone at your house is well soon.
