Had a call from my sister who had a call from our mother that my grandmother (my mom's mom) has apparently had a stroke or heart attack and was being rushed to Roanoke Memorial. They are about 4 hours away from us. So, I'm waiting for a follow-up call from my sister. She told me she'd keep me up to date, even if there was nothing to report. There's nothing worse than being on this end of it and unable to call anyone to see what is going on. My husband wants me to pack my bags and head out, but I'll wait to see what is happening. I am, however, mentally (and soon on paper) writing out things that need to be done at home (and work) if I have to dash down there for a day or two.
While typing this my mom phoned. They're at the hospital. They're working on my grandmother. She had nothing to report other than my grandmother's blood pressure was like 280 over some other astrinomical number. One of the nurses (at the assisted living where Mame lives) was on her rounds on a floor other than my grandmother's and said she had the feeling that she needed to go back down to the second floor (where Mame lives) and walked by my grandmother's room and saw her standing at the window and called out to her. She was completely incoherent, didn't know anyone (including my parents when they got there) and didn't know where she was.
If you all would say a quick prayer for her, I would appreciate it. Her name is Evelyn Hart.

Glad to hear that you've gotten some good drugs and hope that you'll be feeling much better real soon. Take care of yourself.
