Good morning! Taking a break from scrubbing the floors I couldn't get to yesterday. That will make up a lot of my physical activity today. I can feel a muscle spasm in my right shoulder area from raking yesterday, but will get a magnet on it to help.

Positives:

1. Got to spend some quality time with Tim Sunday and Monday.

2. After much time and effort, we were able to get Rob's hair cut in a style he likes.

3. I got all the gifts from my sister and niece for the family squared away and ready for Christmas Eve.

4. Made some progress in the yard yesterday.

Brrr! That is cold. Our big snowstorm turned into nothing more than a high wind (up to 45 mph) and a little bit of flurries. Suits me just fine. They're callin' for dry weather up through next tuesday but not much warmer for a few days.

Last night's yoga class was fabulous. Tonight I'm planning to get out to step class. Haven't made it there for a while.

My positives:

1. Yoga class. It's been invigorating and relaxing at the same time. Weird.

2. I won the first round of the cribbage tournament yesterday at work. No one is more surprised than I am since I've never played it before. Must be beginner's luck, huh?

3. Another day above ground. Sometimes it's just good to be alive.

Have a great day everyone!

Top of the mornin' right back at ya Phyllis! So nice to come to the board and get a cheerful greeting. It really sets the mood for my day.I know it can't be easy doing this every day so THANKS!!!!

I think today I will focus on my weights.I have to get organized and make a list and run some errands.A very fun thing on my list of things to do today; my niece cleaned out her closet and I have a bag of clothes coming my way. And not just clothes but this time she threw in lotion, earrings and cds!It will be fun to go thru.A not so fun thing but need to do thing is straighten up this house.I looked around yesterday and was just drained from the mess.So I want to work on that some.

I usually send my sisters silly birthday/holiday cards. This year I decided to send my sisters and parents all meaningful Christmas cards telling them how much they mean to me and how lucky I feel to have them in my life. Last night one sister called. She is worried I might be seriously ill or something!!LOL

MY positives; 1)Getting in great runs which lifts my spirits 2)Not feeling overwhelmed by Christmas, just taking time to enjoy the season 3)things are looking up in CL

Top of the Mornin' to all of you too!

Up and trying to get back into some sort of routine this morning although looking around here and trying to play catch up (again) at work heading for the nearest hills maybe what I want to do most! Treadmill and squats and lunges were the workout for the morning.

Positives for the week

Good health news for myself and my daughter.

Thoughtful friends and family that made a difficult time more bearable.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning, everyone!

Expecting a good day in Beantown today. Bright sunny skies, brisk winds, no precip for at least 24 hours. Work is under control; I know what's coming at me the next couple of days, so I'm prepared.

Having dinner with ones of my friends tonight; we've planned and rescheduled this since early November - work obligations have intervened, and hopefully tonight we'll actually get together.

Workout tonight - light cardio after I get home.

Positives: 1) DH is feeling just about back to normal, thank heavens; 2) I had a weight-loss breakthrough this weekend - I've now lost a total of 18 lbs and finally blasted into the 150s for the first time in about 6 years, exactly where I wanted to be by Christmas; 3) good, productive work week with manageable stress, including being backed up by my boss again when certain parties at work came looking to dump a surprise project on me 24 hours before it's due (the same parties that demanded control over their projects who can't seem to - or don't want to - take responsibility for closing on them when things get hairy).

Having a great day; hope you all do, too!

Thanks, fearless leader. I'm going to print that out on a tabloid-size page and post it in my office. Maybe someone besides the two of us will believe it. They won't know what it means, but if they see it enough the the power of persuasion might kick in.....

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm on the fence this morning. After a week of meds I'm still not feeling great but I'm reluctant to go back and get more antibiotics because I know I'm on the verge of the female side effect of too much penicillin.
