Oh there are no words to describe "those people". Glad to hear you recaptured your Christmas Spirit and that you're enjoying your wine and your Christmas music!
I've had a good day of exercise and eating although a rather nonproductive evening although I should have listened to my little voice that was telling me to stay home this evening. It's raining and miserable outside but I decided I needed to buy some special cards and take a run to the grocery store since I was out of water bottles and needed the ingredients for a zucchini quiche that I'm making for our annual office luncheon on Friday. Had a lot of trouble finding what I wanted in the card store and headed for the grocery store-they didn't have the ricotta cheese I wanted, their water bottles were way overpriced and by the time I got home I realized I had brought home only the overpriced water bottles. So back in the rain I went to the grocery store to collect my other bag of groceries! Mind if I join you Phyllis with a glass of something and a Christmas CD?
Man, what is it with Walmart and Christmas spirit???I almost lost mine in there Tuesday. It was packed and ugly in there that day!!I'm proud of you Phyllis.I don't know that I could have been that nice. You did good!
My day went well.I made exercise my priority. Got a great run in and did my LB workout without letting everything else get in the way.Food went well too.I'm in the middle of the treadmill debate, not sure what to do.I really want a new one and if I do it before Christmas I get free shipping. What to do, what to do.Drs office also called and wants to schedule me for botox treatment for migraines in Jan. That had been planned for April but was moved up unexpectedly. Not sure about that either. My head is getting filled up with thinking and decisions!
A Christmas CD by the Temptations, that sounds so nice.Almost worth another trip to Walmart.....
I know what you mean, Phyllis. Mine has been tested this week too. I found the perfect gift for a good friend of mine who's an avid Republican also and belongs to a Martini club. I found 2 Martini glasses that had little elephants sculptured in the stem -- very unique. Got them home and one of them had a tiny chip in the rim, so had to take those back. What was really annoying is that while trying to find out if there were more, one of the other saleswomen said no, there were just two and one had a tiny chip in it!!! So, she knew about it and left it on the shelf. I told her if should never have been left there.
Definitely to the moon! Maybe twice! Sounds like she lost her Christmas spirit a long time ago. Her husband must have been embarassed. Good for you for not losing your cool.
Well, any time spent at Wal-Mart is enough to get me out of the Christmas spirit... the lines make it worse, exchanging something even moreso, and then you have to deal with the stereotypical Wal-Mart customer like you ran into (a coworker used to call low-rent women "Wal-mart Women). Given that Ms. Congeniality was fumbling for excuses and even her husband side-stepped, she was the one who looked bad. She might not have shown it, but I'll bet she was embarrassed.
I caught up on sleep again yesterday and spent time with Allison. Still no go on getting back into a routine. Enjoying guacamole!
May I have a shot of your grace and patience, Phyllis? Way to rise above the bad attitude of a Christmas jack#%%, but even they had a presence in the manger on Christmas Eve....
