Good morning-
I was just thinking this morning about how my priorities had changed.
I'm with you, Phyllis! Love to get a good night's sleep and a good nap beats a lot of other things too. LOL!
I'll be making an exchange at the mall, picking up a replacement gift for a good friend, and going to our RWCDF Christmas Board Meeting. I'm looking forward to going to the Wine Cellar, which has excellent food and nice atmosphere. This afternoon I need to get working on the lights on the big tree. Christmas always has a way of sneaking up on me when it comes to the tree. Need to pick up some mylar balloons and hide them for Rob's birthday tomorrow, so he'll see them when he gets up. Today is their last day of school before the break. I'm going to go pick up him and the 18th c. style table he made this afternoon. Can't wait to see it!
I'm thankful:
1. That Saddam Hussein was caught.
2. That Erin sent Rob a master's graduation announcement (even if she didn't send one to me), a birthday card and gift, and a Christmas card and gift with her email address in it. Maybe the holiday season is making her think a little about the important things in life, and she's making a bit of an effort to re-establish contact, at least with her brother.
3. That Lisa has invited us all to her house for Christmas dinner and is coming here Christmas Eve, so maybe the "thing" with Mom will be resolved. Life is too short to hold grudges, especially against an

I'm running today and doing weights.I've been thinking I need to mix it up more but I'm going to stick with what I love and what works.Although I may throw in a step workout.Baking is this weekend with my sisters and mom, looking forward to that.Have a ton of to dos too and need to get it in gear!!
Thanks; My biggest one is that I still have 4 chicken houses!A stove caught on fire yesterday and thankfully that's as far as it went.I went thru the houses about 2 pm and back again at 5pm.I notcied one stove was black and unplugged. I couldn't figure out why DH hadn't told me about it the night before since he had obviously unplugged it.Then I couldn't figure out why I hadn't noticed it before.Turned out the stove had caught on fire and burned the cord in half!Thankful that nothing worse happened and trying not to think of what could have happened.
Very thankful that I have my family to be with during this season.I'll be with my sisters and Mom this weekend baking and I'm lucky to have that time with them.
Thankful to have a Dr who continues to find the best way possible to help me manage a difficult situation with migraines.Just knowing someone is in my corner helps.
Thankful for this group and all they add to my life!!!!!

Oh, man. I never thought about it that way before. ...rats...
Back in the day, I'd have been grateful for a good hair day, unchipped nails and mascara that didn't smudge before lunch.
Today's thankfuls are much more simple and hopefully a lot less shallow...LoL.
1. My DH first and foremost. He's a gem who puts up with a lot of guff from me and comes out smiling every time.
2. My friends both at home and online. It feels good to surround yourself with people you care about and who care about you in return.
3. My little squeezy 'stress pig.' He's pink and has an advertisement from an insurance company printed on his side. I found him one day as I was riding my bike to work and feeling a tad sorry for myself for having gotten myself into that mess. There he was, lying abandoned on the side of the road with one ear broken off and this huge goofy grin on his pink little face. Stress pig is a bit beat up and tired looking, but he's always got that smile and he makes me smile. He sits on top of my monitor at work.
Workout today? Step class after work. Took last night off and just did a little stretching. Have to hit it again today.
Have a great day everyone!

Oh Phyllis hear ya on the sleep and last night was just one of those nights. I kept waking up thinking it was time to get up and Otto must have been suffering from sleep problems too. He kept moving around in his bed which kept hitting the closet door and he kept jingling his collar with his tags on it making lots of nighttime music!
Needless to say I really didn't feel like getting up this morning but I did and I'm glad I did-1.7 miles in 20 minutes-I don't think that's too bad for the old lady! Picked up the weights for another 20 minutes and my workout is done for the day.
After work I'll be heading to the stores to hopefully finish up my Christmas shopping as well as picking up a shower gift for the attorney in the office who is due right after the first of the year.
Thankfuls:
1. Good health news for myself and my daughter
2. Even though there are many times that I don't think my kids like each other very much every once in awhile they surprise me!
3. Thankful for wonderful friends and family that have shown their love and support and help during a difficult time.

Glad everything is OK in CL. That is really scary!

Survived the wind and rainstorm that blew through here Wednesday night - the gas grill did not tip over for a change, the roof is intact, nothing flooded, and the snow melting allowed the bushes and the lights out front to spring back to shape.
Workout tonight is light cardio; I think DH is up to another trip to the mall, so my treadmill work will be late tonight.
Thankfuls:
1) Got some kind of exercise most nights this week despite a busy schedule.
2) Ate well this week despite a busy schedule. We ate late most of the time, but I stuck to SBD Phase II principles.
3) There is a state called Maine, and our annual Kennebunkport weekend is only a day away.
Have a great day, everyone!
