I'm Back.

Thank you everyone for your cards, calls and e-mails. I felt thought of and prayed for! It all really means a lot.

Sarah and I ended up staying an extra day. No one wanted us to leave and I'm glad I stayed. And Sarah and I had an enjoyable ride home with a stop at Johnny Appleseed in New Market for lunch. Haven't done that in years. Yummy apple fritters. Brought some home for the boys.

Things went as expected. I felt like white trash relatives this morning when my dad, uncle and I roared in to my grandmother's assisted living facility and came out with a beautiful wing back chair and tv (came home with me) and a few other things that were brought back to mom's. I think they need to have everything out of her room by the end of this month and it was easier on mom for me to load it into my mini-van and take it with me. It was tuff going back into Mame's room now that she is gone. I'm thankful that I am 42 years old and still had a grandparent left until this week. She was 90.

Coming home to my dog fur ridden, dirty sneaker foot-printed, dusty, cluttered house after being at the sterile palace of my mom and dad's home for 5 days was quite a shock. I got into the shower and had quite a pity party. Can't say I actually feel better, but I'm getting on back on track. I've got a lot of work to do here! Can't blame it all on the boys (but can't they see that the fur is flying up as they walk thru the hallway????) as it wasn't exactly spotless when I left Tuesday morning.

Also found out that the boss did to my fill-in what he always does to me...says "go with it" and then makes changes. At 4:00 this afternoon my fill in was up working on the bulletin for tomorrow. Ridiculous! Of course I feel guilty for her. Just plain old ticked off at him.

My antibiotic made me violently ill. So I'll be hooking up with the doc (hopefully only by phone) on Monday for a new script. Starting all over again.

I've missed working out. Tomorrow I will be hitting the treadmill early. Spent a lot of time thinking about the upcoming year and my fitness and health and just plain 'ole life.

Anyway. I'm back. Missed you all. Barely had any computer time all week at mom and dad's with teenagers in the house (my 19 and 16 year old cousins). Had the shakes a couple of days ;)

Hugs.

Sassy.

So glad you're back, really been thinking about you.Aren't those apple fritters great!!

You sound like my married with 2 kids sister does when she goes to my single sister's house. The single sisters place is always so clean and neat. What a difference a kid or two around the place can make not to a mention a pet!You shouldn't feel guilty about the work on the other person.I assume it's their choice to be there and they can speak up to the minister. I understand that you do, but you really shouldn't.I'm thinking lunch after the first of the year.Topic will be "Why the heck is Sassy so hard on herself????":) You can feel free to do a therapy session on me too!!!What will be your topic????

Love ya, Sassy.Get different drugs, get some rest and let some others carry the load too.

yes----at our age and having a grandparent that long, you were truly blessed.

Sassy,

I've been away from the board for a couple of days so I missed the news that you grandmother passed away.

Welcome back, Sassy, and glad to hear everything went relatively well on a sad trip home. Take care of yourself - the housework will wait, and you've been feeling unwell for too long to put off your health any longer. Hand out a chores list, make the appropriate threats, take your medicine, retire to bed, and let others do for you. Yeah, I know, easier said than done....

Susan, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mame sounded like a wonderful grandmother. I hope you and your family will have a blessed and peaceful Christmas.

Hugs,
