The day is nearly over and I'm wondering how yours was....Relaxing, invigorating?

The day was full of lots of baking. I was almost ready to give up after the first batch of thumbprint cookies came out of the oven when I hit the kitchen counter full force and they went flying everywhere! You never saw a dog come running so fast as Otto did for some free food! The rest came out of the oven uneventfully but I have to say being on my feet all day I'm tired. Dinner was takeout this evening as I had no desire to cook anything and took a nice brisk walk with Otto in the cold evening air.

I have one child in sick bay and we all hope it's not the flu but being around 2nd graders every day it wouldn't surprise anyone.

I made orange cinnamon rolls for us this morning. They make the house smell so good! We headed to St. Augustine and took Rob to Surf Station. He looked at surf boards for quite a while, because he wanted to trade his current board for a higher quality more advanced shape one. Turns out he put an Al Merrick "Kelly Slater Flyer" model in lay-a-way with money he'd gotten for his birthday. It's one of the best brands made and Kelly Slater is a world champion from Cocoa Beach, which is about 125 miles south of here. It was designed with Florida conditions in mind, so it is excellent! He is so excited!!! He'll have to put all his Christmas money and then some with it to get it out, but it's a good investment.

We went wandering in the historic area again. The shop that has the cut glass fire screen I want had gotten a shipment in yesterday, but unfortunately it wasn't in it. We did get in a lot of walking, and it was COLD with the wind from the bay.

Tim and I went out looking around tonight and went through Starbucks drive-thru for him, so he's a happy camper. Think we're going to see if there's a decent movie on TV.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. If you have a chance, go see that new Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton movie!
