Had a fantastic lunch today.Didn't think it was going to work out to well. One friend was busy getting ready for unexpected guests and one was still not feeling so great. But we met for lunch and left it all behind for an hour or so.I started with a salad but ended with a desert called Chocolate Confusion. We all shared it and it was fantastic.Lots of laughing, good girl talk and of course chocolate!!Is there anything better??

Even with time out for lunch I got lots of work done in CL and all the other things I had on my list of things to do.No workout today and hadn't really planned on one.I'm trying to put extra time in CL and with all the holiday things something has to give.I do plan to settle in with a fitness mag tonight, does that count?

How has everyone elses day been?

Sounds like a really nice day Patty. Confusion sounds wonderful! I've had such a chocolate craving today and the bowl of M&M's sitting in the office were right up my alley. It was a very loooooong day in the office and very glad when the clock struck 5.

No workout today but I have a stiff neck and back so probably just as well. I did have a nice walk with Otto, went to the drug store for some stocking stuffers, got some laundry put away and just trying to keep the house in some type of order.

I really need to get some wrapping done before it's time for bed. Hope it's been a good day for all of you!

Oh that sounds like a much better lunch that we had.

Had an awesome workout this morning. Felt soooooooooo good :)

Still haven't gotten any wrapping done. Still haven't gotten those Christmas cards done, but I'm working on the labels! DID get a lot of work done at the office, however. That felt good, too. The boss wants me to finish up tomorrow afternoon so I don't have to work Wednesday. Woo-hoo!

We all went out for Italian tonight to our fave restaurant. I had a salad with creamy italian (house) dressing, several slices of bread dipped in a yummy olive oil based dipping sauce, and manicotti. Also had a glass of chianti. It was yummy and I don't feel the least bit guilty! Passed on dessert. Had a tiny bite of a chocolate thingy but, don't fall over Princess, I wasn't in the mood for chocolate! Then we drove to DC to the Mall and toured the Christmas Trees. The White House is beautiful all dolled up for Christmas. Tons of folks down there. Tons of security. Visible and (relatively)invisible.

It was a good day!

Hugs.

Sassy

One thing I'm never confused about is chocolate! Your lunch sounds great. Glad you had such a good day, Patty.

Where to start over the last 2 1/2 days...I think I jinxed us by talking up live trees so much on the board. I've never had one dry out so fast in spite of all we did to prevent it. This was a $99. tree that we wound up cutting up and hauling out for trash before we ever put a light on it! I swept up a bag full of needles to take to the stand where we bought it, but they'd probably only offer us a replacement, at best, and blue spruce are hard enough to find even early in the season.

We did what I never thought I would do -- searched until after 10 Saturday night at many stores and again Sunday until early afternoon for a realistic fake tree! I shudder when I think
