Tinsel and Tape Tuesday Workouts...

Good morning Christmas divas. Hope you're enjoying this week. From the sounds of all the food we've all be consuming...I'd say we're enjoying it for sure!

The temps are going to rise to about 60 here today. Unbelievable. I'll be pounding the pavement for 3 1/2 miles this morning. No sense climbing on the treadmill when the weather is this warm.

That's my workout for today. Will be in the office all day. Tonight I'll be wrapping gifts.

Hugs everyone!

Sassy

Good Morning,

The workout clothes have again been ignored and not a good thing. I've been going to bed later and just finding it very difficult for that 5:30 wakeup call.

The day will consist of working, mapping out my errands for after work and the things I need to accomplish the next 2 days.

Hope you have a good day.

Sheesh!!I had just typed out a message about my plans and then the phone rang.Something has come up and plans have changed. We were to do Christmas at in laws at 1pm tomorrow. It's been postponed til sometime Sunday. It's the holiday that won't end!!!I have one last minute gift I thought of for Dh and was going to try to get it today. But because of weather and birds I can't get away.Thought maybe I'd slip away quickly tomorrow but now he's going to work.Excuse me while I go bang my head against my Christmas tree!!!

Ok, I'm off to see my chickens.Going to finish up some last minute things.Get in a workout.Get out the life plan and see where things began to unravel.....

Good morning, everyone!

One more (easy) day of work until freedom through Sunday. I feel like a kid in 1st grade!

I sacrificed wrapping Monday night for working out - did cardio and hit all the major areas with weights - and cooking a healthy dinner of broiled salmon steaks, broccoli, and roasted sweet potatoes. Tonight I'll get in another 30 minutes of cardio, we'll have rotisserie chicken from the store for dinner, and then I'll get serious with the wrapping - the dining room will be a riot of ribbons, bows, gift-tags, and something like 24 rolls of paper (bought from QVC last year). Wish I had a digital camera to take a pic of the dining room before the wrap session cleanup.

Have a great day!

I couldn't get the lights finished last night. It wasn't fatigue or frustration. It was sore neck and shoulders and sore feet from standing on the ladder that made me have to stop. I'm back at it again this morning and will not stop today until I'm finished. I haven't even started baking yet, so that has to be done today and tomorrow too. A lesser woman would have been done in by the tree crisis, but I am keepin' on keepin' on. When I'm finished, I think my theme song will be Elton John's "I'm Still Standing." At this point, we may just keep the tree up year round, cover it with something, and make it part of the decor. One thing's for sure, it won't be coming down early this year!

I did get 10 red tiny lamp shades for the DR chandelier, so that will look more festive too. Now, to get the rest of the house done...

"A lesser woman" is a description I would NEVER use to describe you! That you are keeping on-keepin' on I have no doubt! Mom keeps up her tree in the living room year round...it's become the Freedom Tree and is full of patriotic ornaments.

Where did you get your red lamp shades for the DR light fixture????? Instead of replacing our light fixture in our DR, I've decided to add tiny lamp shades to it.

Hugs...

Well, there are times when I'm "lesser," but I'm determined not to let this get the best of me. LOL! I'm thinking your mom is very smart! I have a cousin in MD who keeps one up in her sun porch year-round in honor of two brothers who died within months of each other. It has a lot of angels and some photos on it.

I got the lampshades at SteinMart. They are the prettiest ones and least expensive I've found anywhere.

Hope you feel better soon, Rhonda. Sore back and neck are real party poopers. One of our mortgage lenders is having a "Christmas Closet" built into her new home - she plans to keep the tree decorated & put it in the closet all wrapped up so she will just have to push it out each year! I got tickled at that! I do think that this year is my year to buy a new tree WITH the colored lights already on it! I hate putting lights on the tree!

I'm not finished baking - my dining room table has my basket of Christmas cookie sprinkles, etc. on it, waiting for me to continue tomorrow.

Enjoy your decorating & baking!
