Christmas Eve Workouts...

It is official...I have become my mother. I've been up since 3:45 a.m. Stressing about everything I have to do so I just said the heck with it and got up. Of course, I can't do a whole lot since the entire household, including dogs, is still asleep and everything I need to get done (gift wrapping mostly) would mean waking DH up since our room is where all the gifts are. The one recipe I could be working on is in there, too. So, I've been cleaning up the kitchen. Cleaned out the dining room and got it set up for a wrapping marathon. Pulled the Christmas Eve service church bulletin together and will only have to copy it to disk and tweak it and copy it once I get to the office sometime today. Got most of my cards done and DH will put them in the mail today. Will finish up the rest over the next couple days.
No workout for me today. How about you all? What are your plans for this evening? We have church at 7:00. Then we always drive around and see the lights. Then we'll shuttle the kids off to bed and DH and I pull out some egg nog and spike it up with a bit of something and we finish up any wrapping that needs to be done, putting together of things and stuffing the stockings. Then we take some time to turn down the lights and have just the tree lights on and sit and quietly reflect on the current year and the year to come. I'm looking forward to that tonight because that will mean I'll be done and as ready as I'm going to be!
Hugs and Merry Christmas!

I'm just going to take today as it comes and watch the magic unfold.Translated; no plans I've made are holding together so why fight it.Tonight I'm making a dinner for me and the guys.In the meantime I'll either be hanging with my chickens or sippin tea by the tree.

Today will consist of at least part of the day in the office. Always a mystery as to what time we will close. We will be home this evening and tomorrow. MIL and SIL will be joining us for dinner tomorrow. DD is off for the holidays so she volunteered to run to the grocery store to we can put together a Christmas Eve dinner and things that will be needed for tomorrow's dinner. Simplicity is the key word for both days as I had no clue as to what we were doing until 7:30 last night. Now if I could just get some elves from the North to finish wrapping the gifts! I don't foresee a workout in my future but then again you never know.
Wishing each of you wonderful ladies and your families a very Merry Christmas!
Love ya all,
Susan
