Christmas Eve Workouts...

Good morning workout Divas! Happy Christmas Eve.

It is official...I have become my mother. I've been up since 3:45 a.m. Stressing about everything I have to do so I just said the heck with it and got up. Of course, I can't do a whole lot since the entire household, including dogs, is still asleep and everything I need to get done (gift wrapping mostly) would mean waking DH up since our room is where all the gifts are. The one recipe I could be working on is in there, too. So, I've been cleaning up the kitchen. Cleaned out the dining room and got it set up for a wrapping marathon. Pulled the Christmas Eve service church bulletin together and will only have to copy it to disk and tweak it and copy it once I get to the office sometime today. Got most of my cards done and DH will put them in the mail today. Will finish up the rest over the next couple days.

No workout for me today. How about you all? What are your plans for this evening? We have church at 7:00. Then we always drive around and see the lights. Then we'll shuttle the kids off to bed and DH and I pull out some egg nog and spike it up with a bit of something and we finish up any wrapping that needs to be done, putting together of things and stuffing the stockings. Then we take some time to turn down the lights and have just the tree lights on and sit and quietly reflect on the current year and the year to come. I'm looking forward to that tonight because that will mean I'll be done and as ready as I'm going to be!

Hugs and Merry Christmas!

Sassy

She usually checks in each Sunday too...and each holy day of obligation.

So sorry to hear you're under the weather especially at this time. Make those men wait on you!! ;-) Do try to stay warm and take it as easy as possible.

No magic here, just hard work to make it look that way, but you know how that goes...

Hugs,

Hurray for Eric's potato! LOL! Aunt Flo is here too. I should take a couple of Advil myself after I get something in my stomach. I've worked muscles I didn't even know I had under the tree and up the ladder. Slept with magnetic insoles in socks to help my feet and the muscles in my legs and have 3 magnets on my lower back to counteract muscle spasms. I'll be running around, lifting, scrubbing, etc., enough

I did a standing rib roast the other night and even with the oven on it was too rare for me. I'll be curious to see how this one does. I've never heard of cooking a roast with the oven off.

Thanks, Patty. I think about her more than ever at this time of year and pray about it nightly. Maybe one day...

I found some stocking holders at Target that light up with batteries, so now we'll have light there too and no extra strain on the breakers.

Good Christmas Eve to all!

Workout: Been there and done that today. Early Jazzercise circuit class this morning. It was fabulous. I like circuit class, it's intense without completely wearing me out like body scuplting does.

This evening's events take place at the in-laws' house. There was a tiff with the Texas bunch so they aren't coming up this year. And the other bunch here in town are not speaking to DH's parents so it might be just us four together this year. Not too sure how I feel about that. Guess we'll have to see what happens. At any rate, I have both my presents wrapped (ha! gift bags...recycled at that!) and ready to go. Got Jeff's dad a bike horn for his walker. His Mom is going to kill me. LOLOLOL This will be a hoot...literally. I never know what to get her so she's getting some really good smelling potpourri and a little something to use at Bath and Body works. Sounds good to me.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that this evening goes smoothly. With all the weirdness in this family lately, I'm almost expecting to need an ambulance by the end of the evening.

Have a great day and a Merry Christmas!
