Time to stop working so hard and to just stop and enjoy! Can you??Sure hope so.My Christmas Eve plans have been turned upside down and I'm struggling to keep my perspective here.I'm thinking of Nancy as she faces a change of not having her DD with her as usual.DS is turning 19 in a few days and talking of visiting friends Christmas Eve.He used to stay home all night Christmas Eve!!Of course he couldn't drive, but still.I'm thinking of littlemom and wondering what her holiday plans are.Thinking of Margie and knowing she will be missing her mom.I'm thinking of Rhonda and all those lights!!!I'm wondering how the heck she keeps her Christmas spirit and her sense of humor and I smile everytime I do!I'm wondering if Sassy is still working on her cards :) and please let her have all day off.Hope Phyllis is enjoying time with family and missing us cause I miss her.Fingers crossed that Eric gets more than prime rib and salad LOL. Come on,Deb, give him a potato or something!!!Thinking of food makes me think of Otto on stand by in case something hits the floor. All of you are on my mind and in my heart in some way today especially but also every day.I hope today you have time to enjoy some part of the season, time with your family or friends, or just quiet time to yourself that you need.

Miss P

Thank you Patty. That was such a nice post! And Otto is indeed on standby!

The holidays do indeed rush upon us and with all the stress and frazzle the holiday is gone and I know for myself I wonder where it has gone. My daughter and I just had a conversation this morning about this topic. For a variety of reasons I have been very much on edge and as of yesterday I couldn't wait for Christmas to come and be gone. But I do intend to stop and enjoy it because life is strange and full of curves and bends that you don't know what tomorrow will bring!

Hey, think your SIL would like a trip to FL????? ;-) So happy to hear you're enjoying your family so much.

All I want for Christmas is two strong people playing tug-of-war with my spine! That would feel SO good right now.

No rest for the weary today. I got a lot accomplished until 2:15 this morning, but still lots to do. The house is starting to shape up, and I got Treasure cookies and Chocolate Almond Biscotti made last night. First time I've made biscotti, and they turned out well. I have two more kinds of cookies to make, a pork roast, Italian meatballs, chicken taquitos, and other food to make, a run to the store (of course), cleaning bathrooms and floors, and last minute decorating.

No more trips to the store for me until the day after Christmas!! I've been to Target, Publix, Barnes and Noble, and Steinmart this morning, and that's it.

It rained during the night, so the air is especially clear. It's sunny and in the 70's already, but is supposed to hit mid-30's tonight. We just might get to have a fire. If not, I've got several pillar candles to light in the fireplace.

Back to the kitchen...
