Did anyone get the number of the truck that hit me??? We are having a wonderful holiday so far, but I am sooo tired and am going to enjoy a Christmas morning nap. I'll also check out the ads for the after Christmas sales before I start cooking.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas. Please take time to think about the reason for the season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESUS!

Merry Christmas everyone!

We had our Christmas last night at the In-Laws' house. No blood was shed and no harsh words were spoken so I call it a raging success! We had little ham sandwiches on little baby croissants, veggies, shrimp cocktails (to DIE for!), crab salad and assorted other nibbles. It was fabulous and as usual, MIL put her heart into it although she did tame down from previous years. We had a great time and I don't remember why I was so worried anymore. Oh yeah...now I do...LoL. Anyway, gifts galore, lots of food and merry making. FIL liked his bike horn. In his younger years, he was quite the model train enthusiast. A couple years ago his layout had to be removed from the basement so we got him a really nice O gauge train set and put it up around the tree. It was really quite traditional and classic. As usual, she went way overboard on the gifts although I did get a few things that I actually needed to get and a couple of fun little chicken things. DH had a little too much Christmas cheer and had a headache by the time we got home.

If I could make one request before I close. My Grandma has taken a turn for the worse and has gotten far worse than she ever has. Please remember her in your prayers and thoughts today. Thanks.

Merry Christmas my friends. We had a pleasant evening last night. Dh's cousin and her husband, my three grown up children, and some very dear friends were over. The last of them packed off around one. We stuffed the stockings and fell into bed, only to get up at 5:30 this morning! UGH. Oh well, we are having a leisurely gift opening this morning and the kids are having an absolute blast.

No snow in our neck of the woods. Just some sunshine.

Well, gotta go and stuff a turkey! Have a perfect day ladies!

Love ya,

Shar

P.S. Lori, I'll keep your grandma in my prayers

I'm vertical again. LOL! Have things going for Butternut Squash Supreme, Corn Pudding, and Sausage Stuffing and enough desserts and appetizers left from last night that I sure don't need to make any more, although Tim and Rob are working their way through those appetizers this morning. That Panera Christmas Bread is what tempts me in the morning.

Happy to hear everyone is having such a good Christmas and that no blood was shed at Lori's party. Phyllis, at least you exercised

Merry Christmas, everyone!

The sun has finally broken through the clouds and all the snow is just about gone. Today we're heading back to my sister's house for dinner and later on to my ILs for dessert. A bit more gift opening remains - we keep the grownups in suspense and let the kids rule for a while.

No workout today. I'm going to enjoy being with DH and our families, enjoy a nice dinner, reflect on the meaning of the season, and hope that someday the feeling in Bethlehem returns to one of tolerance, goodwill, and love instead of fear, hatred, and anger.

Have a reflective day!
