Silly Saturday Workouts

Good morning exercise fiends.

A clear, chilly morning here. Have been awake for several hours. Ugh. Why am I on this crazy sleep schedule? Hopefully, this too shall pass (quickly)!

1. What's up for your workouts today? I'm going to hit the treadmill, the floor for abs and chest, shoulders and back on the weight machine. Hoo-rah!

2. What's up for the rest of your day? I'm cleaning out my home office. That will take all day and I am up for the challenge! Laundry is ALWAYS on the agenda!

3. Has everyone been thinking about the New Year, New You challenge? What about any other "challenges"/"resolutions" you might be thinking about/struggling with for the New Year? Come up with a plan on how to achieve your goals...that will help with your success rate!

4. Rely on your FoF friends to help/encourage/chew butt/send hugs/etc., etc.!

Later, gators. Have an awesome, Silly Saturday!

Hugs.

Sassy

One Gator reporting in...

I got 5 loads of laundry done last night, sorted, and some put away. Hanging up the rest before I start getting ready for my day trip down state. Rob must have been exhausted yesterday, because he fell asleep around 6-something and slept through the night on the sofa! Tim has taken him for his 4-hr. driving class today, a necessary step toward getting his learner's permit.

I haven't been doing much heavy thinking yet.

Good morning!

Sitting here sipping a cuppa in my new, blue, penguin-covered flannel jammies that my niece gave me for my birthday. Very cute (the niece and the jammies - it'll take me a couple hours to achieve a semblance of cute)!

Heading to the local mall in a little bit. I need to hit the Bath and Body Works for some shea-butter-based body cream and a basic, gentle face cleaner, plus a few other goodies for personal care Sunday tomorrow. The mere thought of the word "manicure" caused all of my fingernails to break. At least they look neat, if not glamorous.

Had a nice evening in the city with DH last night. Sipping on Fourbucks peppermint hot chocolate and lattes, we walked around Back Bay looking at all the decorations in the gorgeous multi-million-dollar brownstones along Commonwealth Avenue. Many glimmering trees that probably exceeded 12 feet in living room windows along the road. Lots of draped pine garland and big red velvet and gold bows around the windows, in window boxes, and framing ornate doorways. One house looked a bit out of place - it was very colorful, but the multi-colored light strings were draped haphazardly so the whole thing looked like a strong wind came through and blew it apart. I bet the snooty Back Bay Association had a fit when the owners turned that dislay on! The Commonwealth Avenue promenade itself was decked out for about three miles of its in-town length (the road is a much longer one that continues well out into the suburbs). It's divided by a wide median that's tree- and grass-bordered and paved for pedestrians. The trees (20 to 30 ft tall) along the pedestrian walkway were decked out in tiny white lights from about mid trunk to mid height. Very pretty and very romantic.

Back to the workout routine today. Will do a full workout and lots of stretching after the football game and before dinner. The Patriots are going for a 14-2 record, their best ever. They're facing the Buffalo Bills, who embarrassed them in the opening game this year after the trade of the Patriots' defensive captain to the Bills three days before left the team reeling and totally out of it emotionally. Can't wait. GO PATS!

Have a super-dee-duper day (Did I really say super-dee-duper??? I don't even watch Barney!!)

Good morning everyone,

Not sure what the temperature is like outside but the sky is a beautiful blue!

Workout this morning was on the treadmill and weights. Yesterday was an interesting conglomeration of different activities and looks like I really didn't do much. I have a lot of trouble getting my butt in gear and accomplishing anything productive after holiday frenzies! But the washer and dryer are running at full speed ahead today! DD wanted a new "big girl bed" as she calls it which means she wanted to move from her twin size to a full size bed so DS and Mom and Dad purchased a new headboard and footboard for her as her Christmas gift and DD and her BF went to pick it up yesterday along with a new mattress and boxspring. Later in the morning, DD and I will go pick up a new bookcase from Ikea for her room and look for a new comforter set at the mall. I had bought her a set of sateen sheets for the bed and I have to say that they feel so nice that I may just have to find a set of those on sale for me and I have now mentioned to DH that her bed looks so nice and comfy maybe it's time for a new one-hint hint!

That's about it for my day. I am putting some thought into our challenge and I'm really looking forward to it as the "fluff" is accumulating on me as fast as my laundry which isn't a good thing!

Have a great silly Saturday!

Another gator checkin in on a super dee duper saturday! :) Lot of energy in the morning posts so far!

I'm getting a workout in today. When Christmas finally comes at my in laws I'm getting a pair of workout pants that have me worried. The catalog said they were great for runs around the track or to the grocery store. That sounded great except when I got them here the only panty in them was a little liner!!!I don't know how my backside feels about that.So I'm counting on my incline workouts to get get my rear in shape. Sheesh , now I have to get in shape just to wear the workout clothes!!!

I've been thinking about my resolutions and goals for 2004.I've made 3 solid resolutions that I know without fail I will keep.1)I won't have any more kids this year.2)I won't get married again this year.3)I'm not putting up any more chicken houses this year.Just knowing I'm going to keep those resolutions has taken the stress level way down!Next I'll fine tune my goals for this year.Am I a work in progress or what? And if your answer is "or what" never mind.

Have a Fabulous Day everyone(threw that one in for Booty)
