Happy New Year a little early!

I drove into work to do a little cleaning this a.m. and to water my plants - our poinsettia is still gorgeous (because I faithfully watered it) & I didn't want this week to go by without the plants getting some TLC. I don't come back in to work until this Friday! Yippee!!!

I have a day of physical activity planned, even though it is drizzly here. After cleaning up here, I will head out for an hour long powerwalk and then do a full body workout w/weights & abs. I'm ready for the New Year - so I'm starting it today! My work schedule is very light until the last week of January, so no excuses!!!

Donna, I skimmed over the South Beach plan (borrowed friend's book) and decided that since I didn't really gain but a couple of pounds this season, that I would try out some of the recipes but skip the first phase. I love my fruit smoothies in the early a.m. is the main reason! I'm ready to ditch the bad carbs, though, so sticking to the 2nd phase should be no problem.

I took ds fishing Friday & he caught 10 fish in less than 3 hours! I told him he should either go professional or move to Florida and open a fish camp. The child lives and breathes fishing. I caught a small drum (we threw all of them back in as they have too many bones), and that was exciting! Danny caught some large fish & 1 nice sized catfish. The bass were not biting, though. We didn't keep any of the fish as my freezer is full of fish already!

I hope all of you have a Happy New Year and a great 2004! Your New Year's challenge sounds fun & wish I could join in . . . I haven't hooked up with an internet service at home - still mulling it over. May get renter's insurance instead. I hate the slowness of my home computer modem vs. this high speed dsl at work, anyway. I will try to pop in now & then to read your posts. I enjoyed your Christmas posts & am glad everyone had a nice one!

Best wishes for 2004!

You and Danny need to come to Jacksonville to go fishing. Rob loves to fish too.

Hope you have a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!

Well Danny sure helps you keep to a healthy eating plan by catching all the fish!
