It's at the Ramada now (right?) in Asheville, NC, and I think we'd decided on Friday, October 15th to Sunday, Oct. 17th or Monday, Oct. 18th (varies with different people) counting travel time.

I was not able to get the Ramada but here's a link of a hotel that is available:

The rate is $129 for the first 2 nights and $85 for Sunday night.

I think it would be a good idea to put it on the website but first I'd like to make sure we actually have a place to stay.

I know that you have researched all of this thoroughly. I say book it. I forgot to tell the Princess that when DH and I travel, he always gets me fresh coffee from the hotel restaurant when I get up in the morning. Sure hope she remembers to take care of that each morning for me while we're in Asheville!

The Wingate sounds fine to me. Donna and I have decided to be roomies. I know that I am planning to stay Fri., Sat., and Sun. nights, but I'm not sure how many nights she is planning to stay. If we can get rooms with 2 double beds that would be great.

Sassy, they have coffeemakers in the room! They must have known you were coming.

On the Fri and Sat rates, is that $129 per night, or for both nights?

I don't have a roomie, but would like to buddy up with someone.

Also, I'm going to start looking into t-shirt printing around here. There are several printers around here, and I got some recommendations from a friend who regularly gets group shirts for when her class takes field trips.

Remember, if you share a room your cost is half that -- a nice difference. I have a feeling that at that time of year that's the cost per night.

I'm continuing to put money aside weekly, so it won't hit me all at once. I don't miss a little at a time, so it's pretty painless that way.

Yeah, but I'm still confused if it's $129 Fri, $129 Sat and $85 Sun (total $343 before splitting costs, )... or $129 for Fri/Sat and $85 Sunday (total $214 before splitting costs). It's the accountant in me trying to figure out if it's $172 vs. $107 after splitting. I'm not balking at the cost at all, just not sure which one to expect.

No matter which one it ends up being, I'll be coming, and willing to share a room with anybody who'll put up with me. LOL!

I've been checking flight prices. Went to Cheaptickets. com first, because they're usually the cheapest, but they wanted $850.!!!! That's about 3X what I pay to fly to Wash., DC. I tried Expedia.com, and it is only $383.00, so it pays to shop around. Once we have our hotel nailed down, I think I'll go ahead with flight reservations.
