I was just reading some of the birthday wishes you guys had posted, thanks! He took off on his own for awhile and did some shopping with his birthday money. Is he my kid or what??He got his hair cut differently last night and today several people stopped him and asked him if he was in the military.LOL I've looked at him today and am so amazed at how grown up he looks!!!I just can't believe 19 years have gone by.

I think you had posted that the holidays change as they get older and you are so right. In some ways Ryan wasn't with me as much but yet we were closer in the times were together.Still you can't help but miss some things that used to be.

It takes a while to get used to those different haircuts. I'm still getting used to Rob's being shorter and so much darker with the blonde highlights gone. Our neighbors don't recognize him at first, and I've not recognized him a couple of times when we've been out and split up for a while.

Already, Rob has spent a lot of this holiday either having a friend spend the night or spending a night at that friend's house, and I took them to see "Cheaper By the Dozen" tonight. I'll be running out in a while to pick them up. I can only imagine what it will be like once he gets mobile and gets a job too.

I guess when your time is more limited you have a tendency to make it higher quality. There's a lot to be said for that, but I miss some of the "little boy" things too.

It's not too late to retract one of your New Year's resolutions...you can always have another child in 2004 and bring things back the way they used to be!

Oh Patty, you are so right. I remember our first Christmas without the boys around. It was weird.

Congratulations to you for raising such a fine young man.
