DD and I are heading out in about 45 minutes to hit Walmart, Target and Kohls early and then we have appointments to get our hair cut at 10 and 10:30. Following that, I'll be in the office for the day. We're heading back to Roanoke Wednesday afternoon until Saturday to have Christmas with my family. We have a dog sitter coming in so I'll have to have this place picked up as well. Have presents to wrap, work at church, yadda yadda. I'll check in later...hoping I can squeeze in a walk this afternoon since it will be warm again this afternoon.
Hugs

Back at work today after a nine day holiday...bleh. They're going to have to retrain me as it took a good five minutes to remember my password. Yikes!
I'm getting ready for the challenge too, Phyllis. I worked out a new exercise program last night. After much soul-searching and a serious discussion with DH, I've decided to take a break from Jazzercise. I'm getting a bit burned out on it and I'm having some joint problems that I don't like the feel of. Plus my back has been killing me the last couple weeks. What a drag it is getting old...er. I'm really hoping that I can go back to class in a few months or so. I do still enjoy it.
So, I'm off on a new adventure. Going back to the gym for cardio until the weather improves then it is back to the biker/hiker trails for moi. Today is a rest day. I did two Jazz classes yesterday and I am paying the price today.
Have an extra fabulous day everyone! I'm digging into the pile on my desk and probably won't come up for air until late afternoon.
By the way, I wanted to thank everyone for their support and kindness during the last year. Life can be hell sometimes and it's good to know that you have cellmates you can count on. Thanks.
Peace out

Not such a mighty fine Monday in this neck of the woods. I feel like c**p and have actually called in sick. Haven't done that since...well I don't remember. I wasn't in a very good mental state when I went to bed last night as I toil to simplify my life I made some costly mistakes that will take me double the trouble and time to straighten out. But I got up determined to get a workout in-which I did, had breakfast and now my stomach is turning and my head is exploding. So, I will be puttering around the house, trying to get a few simple things accomplished if the body will allow. I think the holidays and stress and strain of the month is catching up with me.
Hope you all have a Mighty Fine Monday!

I have the urge to do some major yardwork today. With all that's been going on in recent weeks it has been so neglected. It would feel good to do some manual labor outside. Maybe that will energize me to do more active things. I can only hope...
I got in some grocery shopping last night after I took Rob and friend to the movies, so I have all my stuff for the family to come out for dinner on New Year's Day. There'll be some bigtime football watching going on. By the way, Rob and Chris said that "Cheaper By the Dozen" was funny. They liked Steve Martin.
Have a good Monday everyone!

Since I didn't win MegaBucks this weekend, I decided to go back to work. I've ploughed through the 37 e-mails, and will tackle voice messages in a few minutes. Thank goodness there are no additional piles all over my desk. Someone did have the gall to come over and ask me to get something done for a 10:30 meeting. Geez louise - such nerve! Not really - it's done already.
Lunch today is a salad with tuna and chopped olives (full-fat mayo, but really dry). Workout tonight will be cardio and UB/abs. Dinner tonight is swordfish, faux-tatoes, and broccoli. Workout yesterday consisted of a leisurely walk through downtown Lexington and Concord - we never made it to the hills of central MA, and walking slowly behind throngs of people recovering from the hectic holiday hardly constituted a fitness walk.
The filing/organizing/shredding task will wait until next week. When I get bored with the bowl games (I'm really only interested in the USC game), I'll tackle it then.
Have a super-fine, everyone!
