the few things trickling into dept. stores so far, THE big color for spring appears to be PINK. I'm seeing it everywhere in clothes, shoes, purses, and other accessories. I'm not a pink person myself. How about you?

I was shopping with my gf back in November and noticed in all the stores, the pink and black combo.

I bought a new pink sweater the other day and I really like it.I never wear pink especially in the winter but wanted a change.I fall into a rut of wearing the same thing over and over.

My kid loves pink, but I'm not into it. Either jewel or earthtones for me. Pink & black... I recall a friend of mine, back in our Jr. High days, mentioning that her parents talked about a pink/black fashion trend when they were younger (my folks never mentioned it). Goes to show how "new" fashions are just rehashes of stuff that's been here before.

Pink is not really my color. But I did get a pair of carnation pink jammies from DH for Christmas. From Victoria Secret, of course. The top is carnation pink, short sleeve cotton (super comfy) with plaid, yes, carnation pink plaid, cotton long pants. I wear long pant jammies in the summer, too...does anyone else?

That is the extent of pink in my wardrobe! Saw tons of pink for my DD, but she hates pink, too, although it looks great on her with her blonde hair and green eyes.

We don't have Lillie Rubin here any more and I miss it. I used to get Erin's prom gowns there and one jazzy outfit for myself back when I used to have a social life. LOL!

I like pink only if it's like hot pink or fuschia -- not into pastels. I do better in brights like coral, jade, sapphire blue, etc., and I tend to wear a lot of black when my hair is blonde (did my roots last night). ;-)

Not a pastel person. I never thought of myself as fair skinned before, but I am now - light colors wash my skin tone out. I love rich jewel tones; that's why I prefer shopping for wardrobes for fall and winter rather than spring and summer. If I wear a pastel tone, it's got to be on the darker side.

Pink and black as a color combo? Remember the poodle skirt look from the 50's? That's the first thing I think of.

Pastels wash me out too. I also think of Art Deco when I see pink and black. I like it for that, but wouldn't want to live with it.

As much as I love hot weather, I like cold weather clothes better. I like the colors, fabrics, and styles better. Love sweaters and blazers even though I don't want to have to wear them. LOL! Weird, I know.
