Good morning ladies-
OK...no sarcasm about the discussion title ;-)
2 more days until we start our challenge.

What a night I had, exhausting!!I threw myself back into fitness big time yesterday. Hit the treadmill, did a 20 minute LB workout and went thru Christmas cookie withdraw!I really felt the workouts in my backside last night.Apparently all the fitness , self control with food and taking care of my chickens was too much for me.Dreamed last night that all the chickens came after me pecking my butt.OUCH!!Woke up actually feeling my backside hurting.Today I'm hitting upper body. I shudder to think of tonights dreams!!!!
Positives;Getting back in the workout saddle, getting food under control, and no chickens really pecked my butt!!!
Workout today a run and upper body and maybe working thru some issues. If you're dreaming of things like I am you gotta wonder......
BNL, I'm thinking of you today and hope you're feeling better.
Hope you all have a perfect day and remember we really are perfect it's the rest of the world that is so sadly lacking ;)

The sky is clearing up. Super blue sky behind the rain clouds. I'm taking my time this morning. I woke up at 5:00 and laid in bed for an hour and then went back to sleep until 8. My back is killing me now, but it will work itself out during my walk and then some stretching afterward. Flo is banging on the door but won't come in. Hate that! I COULD be as grumbly today as I was yesterday if I let myself be, but Phyllis guilted me into putting on a stupid happy face. I know I'll feel better after my walk.
Positives. Hmmm. Can't think of a thing that isn't sarcastic. Processing....
1. Had a great morning with DD yesterday. Shopping, breakfast and hair cuts. She has the most awesome hair. The ladies were all gathered around her chatting about her hair (thick and straight, but with some body) and color (dark blonde with super light highlights). They were teasing her about how their clients come in willing to pay big money for her hair color. Of course she has the most gorgous green eyes, too. I can't help it...she's My Girl (I still sing that song to her and she let's me!). So her hair is about shoulder length now and it had a nice little flip on the ends. For about an hour. After that, it was back in the pony tail again. I wish I had a girly-girl, just some of the time!
2. Had a pretty quiet and relaxing weekend.
3. Had a great Christmas with DH's family.
Putting on my positive pout this morning and getting going :)

I can tell I hadn't done yardwork in at least a month. My butt, hamstrings, calves, and neck are all sore -- and I barely scratched the surface of what needs to be done. My joints sound like Rice Krispies. I had planned to do more today and told Rob he could plan to help me, then I got a call about getting together to get the newsletter out for the RWCDF and that may screw up my plans for getting down and dirty.
I was trying my best to get rid of the Christmas goodies yesterday -- really bad!! Once the 2nd gets here, I am going to turn over a new leaf, but not until then.
The get-together in October is a motivator (somewhat) for me. I need to get going or I'm going to be incredibly embarrassed when we meet!
Positives:
1. My hard work paid off for a really wonderful Christmas with the family.
2. I've gotten some good improvements done in the house with some furniture rearranging, new accessories, and things like that.
3. My roots are now the same color as my naturally blonde hair, as of last night.
4. I got the room reservation squared away for the October Girls' Weekend Out -- hurray!!!

I haven't given the challenge a thought yet. But I'll be doing enough to make a fair contribution to the board and help get us noticed in the D&F community.
Workout tonight is 30 min of cardio and LB work, and stretching. Some targeted therapeutic hip work is in store, also.
Positives:
1) Maintaining weight loss. A big positive!
2) Generally how nice Christmas Eve and Christmas were. Not as hectic as it could have been - we didn't let it deteriorate into a last-minute gift-buying and food-prep frenzy - and very relaxed around the family.
3) My ILs have made additional progress settling into their apartment. I hope MIL's adjustment to this new life improves. I thought FIL would be the one to have trouble with it, but he's going merrily on his way; she's really having issues. This is a woman who has traveled around the world and whose motto was "You gotta be flexible". I can understand her being depressed by this major change, but inflexibility and unresourcefulness are simply not characteristics I have ever associated with her.
Have a great one, everybody!
