Good morning Challenge Buddies-
How great that our challenge starts on a day that we have off.

Thankfuls in 2003:
1) My sister had a beautiful and healthy baby girl McKenna---Love her!
2) We were able to throw an 80th birthday party for my dad and he is one healthy and happy man.
3) That my parents are doing ok and I can talk with Mom at least once a day.
My thankfuls for 2003 in no particular order. No way to rank them:
So thankful for my trip to Colorado to see my Mom, Aunt, Grandma and all my cousins and their young'uns. The trip was fabulous (!) and I got to meet and hike with our fearless leader Phyllis of the Cattle Prod.
I'm thankful for the 256 Jazzercise classes I got to take in 2003. I learned so much and had a blast and made a bunch of really cool friends.
I'm thankful that we were able to pull together the resources to get that bike for Jeff. He loves that thing and we really enjoy riding together. We're looking forward to a road trip next year back to Colorado. Yeah baby! Rafting trip, hike in the mountains...ok that's this year isn't it? Maybe down to Texas...hmmmm...
I'm thankful for my Dad's health. He has a small blockage problem with his heart, but it's nothing to be worried about. Diet and exercise changes should make that easy to manage.
Finally, I'm thankful for my buddies here. I know I've said it before, but I just don't think we all get to hear things like that often enough. Sometimes it's easy to take the people you care about for granted. I want you all to know that you are appreciated and not just by me.
So I'm off on the challenge...gotta hit all those categories today! Have a great New Year/New You!

Well, 2004 has started with a whimper. I can't believe I slept 'til 10 am! So much for the First Day walk through the Blue Hills near here. We're hardly party animals - we went out for early dinner, then headed up to my sister's house for my niece's Easy Bake Oven chocolate cake dessert. Yummy - kind of.....
We were home by 11 and settled in to watch the festivities on TV. I managed to stay awake, but DH had dropped off around 11:55 so I let him have a little nap before our sparkling-cider toast to 2004.
Thankfuls? I'm thankful for DH's love and patience, and for the perspective I'm starting to develop (better late than never - and I can thank a 6-yo and a 4-yo for it). It's been a great year that I fully appreciate.
Workout today - one that includes FB weight work.
Have a wonderful day!
Donna
I'm not kidding myself that I'll start the challenge today. I'm cooking my New Year's Day meal and Mom and Dad will be out about 2. Also, have the Outback Bowl on watching my Gators play Iowa. I'll probably be clicking over to see MD and WVA play when that comes on.
As for thankfuls, I'm thankful for all the obvious things such as my family and our wellbeing, the board, and things like that. Other specifics are:
1. The improvement in my Dad's health is the first thing that comes to mind.
2. A strong President and military to keep America strong and fight the spread of terrorism -- including the capture of Saddam.

It was a simply rousing evening in front of the TV last night with a few naps in between to see the New Year in. Children scattered here and there-one arriving at about 4:30 AM from NYC, one calling in this morning from Massachussets and the last straggler in a few minutes ago from a friend's house. DH and I went out for breakfast this morning he came home and took a little nap and I actually assumed my couch potato position and read an entire magazine cover to cover-haven't done that in ages! Hopped on the treadmill, then picked up my weights while watching Ghost-haven't seen that movie in ages! Planning a roast chicken dinner for later today and a nice walk with Otto out in the sunshine.
So many things to be thankful for...the two new additions to our family, Jack and Joseph, DD and myself getting our health problems under control, DD's graduation from Parson's School of Design and DS'successful graduation from high school and finding trade courses that can utilize his talents and abilities,my family and friends which of course include the wonderful women of this board with their continued friendship, support and encouragement...the list could go on and on!
Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday and that is the beginning of a great New Year for all of you!
Susan
