Good balmy Sunday morning. Wish it was snowy here. Now that we've gotten the kids brand new boots, jackets, bibs, snow boards and goggles...we'll have the warmest winter on record I'm sure! It is 55 fun-loving degrees here this a.m. Can not believe it! It was also raining earlier. Not in the forecast last night so hopefully it was a quicky and I can get in my powerwalk outside and not on the treadmill this a.m. weather.com shows an all clear so I might go ahead and venture out in a few.

DH is sulking in bed because I got up and out before 6 this a.m. I've been awake for hours and have stayed in bed so I wouldn't wake him. The body aches were getting to me this morning and I had to get up and move around. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know what you're thinking but Flo is still here.

So my workout today will be a nice power walk. Church is on the agenda followed by the chili cook-off and then a short business meeting at 1:00. The rest of the day will be spent in my home office cleaning it up and doing laundry. Woo-hoo...another exciting day at the Smith's! Need to get the kids ready to go back to school (party...party). I am so looking forward to getting back to the "regular" schedule. I'm already dreading summer break!

That's it, girls. Phyllis thank you for the scripture this morning...one of my faves, but I've not taken the time to memorize it. Yet. Get to church this morning, girl.

Heavenly Hugs.

Sassy

Good morning.I woke up so overwhelmed this morning.I have about 5 more days to go on this flock of birds and they are falling apart on me.I called service guy yesterday but he must be gone for the weekend and never returned the call.Very frustrating! My life the past year or more has been that I work a flock of burds 40+ plus days, have about 2-3 days off , start to clean out, get ready for the new flock and then start all over again.I can't wait for this Oct. when we get together. Promise me I won't have to even look at a chicken!!!!

I was determined I didn't want this to be a new year new you kind of year, I wanted to just kind of float from one year into the next happy with the way things were.Next week I have guys coming to change my house, an appt. with someone new to change my hair and eventually changes to CL.On a typical day at this point in the flock I would be in and out of CL 4 or more times a day.I'm usually alone so I take off my clothes in the basement, come upstairs to shower and go to bedroom to get dressed. Not a problem when I'm alone but tomorrow I have to do it with a house full of men.

I'm going to get a run in today. And I'm going to come up with some healthy eating plans for the next week.I'm trying to set a goal weight to get to but can't even figure that out.Got a NEW scale and it's off from my old one.

Princess...who is thinking this year therapy is going to have to be more than dark

chocolate

I did see lots of positives in your post...especially the parts of stripping down, showering, etc., with a house full of men...could be fun ;)

You'll pull the birds out...you always do! You'll get right back on the eating plan and workout plan. You always do!

Dark chocolate is ALWAYS good therapy. Don't start looking for PhD's yet.

Get your workout in today...you'll feel so much better.

Tons o' hugs, lassie.

Good Morning,

No snow here. Quite warm for a January morning, no sun either, just dreary, dark and gloomy.

I'm not sure whether there will be a workout in my future today. Lots of running around and things to finish up before a full work week comes and smacks me right in the face starting tomorrow. I don't think I've worked a full week since after Thanksgiving. Reality will set in real fast!

Checkbooks, check writing, Costco, laundry all calling my name today...a to do list a mile long!

Better get at it-hope your Sunday is a good one!

I could feel the stress in your post this morning and I wish I could help you out there in CL.

They had an article in the newspaper yesterday asking if people in the Puget Sound are "snow wimps"...of course we are!

It's supposed to be in the low 80's and sunny here today. Tempted to go back to the beach, but we'll be working in the yard instead. I have to have help with the raking due to my neck. I can sure feel the beach walking from yesterday in my calves today. That's a good sign. After today the temperature is supposed to drop. Not looking forward to that, but we could use some rain.

I'll probably start putting away the inside decorations and the ornaments from the trees later today too (finally). Still don't know what we're going to do with the big tree to keep from taking it down totally.

We'll be watching the OU game tonight too, Phyllis. Tim wouldn't let that pass. I'll also be rooting for them.

Patty, sorry to hear you're under so much stress. When things get that tough, but I know there's an end in sight, I always try to keep thinking, "By this time tomorrow (or next week or whenever) it will all be over, and I will have survived." Try to focus on how great your house will be with all the new improvements. In October, you don't even have to eat chicken!!! ;-)

Deb, those husbands need to realize how much work goes into looking good! Maybe they will appreciate the results more. If they're like most men (Tim included), they're just lost at home by themselves and need some company (or someone to tell them what to do). ;-)

Have a great Sunday!

Rhonda
