Hi, ladies! I printed out Phyllis' chart & am going to give your challenge a whirl - will try to post my totals with you all. I probably can't post everyday from work, but will somehow give you my totals when that time comes. I need some help getting back into the swing of eating right/working out regularly & you all are the pros.

I slept in this morning as I tossed & turned all night, but I should be able to do both cardio & weights tonight. I'll have to try that cereal, Rhonda. I bought a huge box of the strawberry Special K.

Stay warm all of you ladies in the freeze belt! 32 degrees here & that is cold enough for this cold natured woman! Our fireplace won't get a rest until later this week.

Hugs,

Kat

Good morning!

First day back at school. Yippee! Routine!~ Of course this is the day that we slept in. The boys are usually up by 6:30- 6:45....this morning 8:15! It figures.

I've gotten my crunches out of the way and put over 1000 steps on my pedometer in just over an hour. Not bad. This morning is power cleaning here. This afternoon, I may venture a walk to the grocery store. I'll have to see what the windchill is at. Otherwise, I'll fake it by walking in place or something to get my cardio in. Weights tonight while watching the hockey game!

Have a great one ladies!

It's so cold here today in Southern Illinois. But I've decided all this week I will try to walk 2 miles and do strength training in the a.m. and run/walk a mile (outdoors)in the p.m. I'm trying to get back into running if my knees allow. So far I can only do 1/2 mile of nonstop running. I know to you veterans they doesn't sound like a lot!

Two children are back in school today but my college son is still home until the 12th.

Have a good day!

I guess spa day wasn't the most accurate way to describe it, since Winston is getting a rabies shot and Katie is due for several shots. I was focusing on the positive, since they both look like little ragmops after playing outside a lot over the holidays. I'm sure they'll smell better too. I will tip the groomer generously for her hard work and patience with Winston. He gets a little aggressive if you try to even brush him. Plus, they'll probably all be wearing ear plugs when I go get those two! He is the most vocal dog I've ever heard.

I didn't think about putting the cereal on yogurt. Sounds good!

I remember when I couldn't run 1/4 mile.

Hey Karyn.

Don't push yourself too hard, especially if you have known knee issues. As a rule, I only allow myself to lightly jog up to one-half mile and then I powerwalk for awhile and then I might go back to lightly jogging, but never more than one-half mile...I definitely have knee issues!

My babies are beautiful!! Sure wish it would last. They don't look like little ragamuffins any more, and they smell so good. It's funny how they seem to know when they look good. LOL! That little turkey, Winston, weighs only about a lb. less than Katie, and his frame is much smaller. I was very surprised to find that out. He has filled out since we got him. Must be something about this house...

OK - my fifteen minute project - dealing with the phone people to disconnect my phone. I knew it would only take a few minutes to stop and fill out the form and find out what to do, so I told myself that regardless of how long other appointments were taking, I *would* stop by and do it. I did, and now, I have one more thing off my looooonnnnngggg to do list.

workout - I was out of the office so much with pre-packout meetings and pre clearance housing inspections and phone stuff, that I stayed until 5:00 (my day ends at 4:00 normally) and only went to yoga. It was really a good thing, because I worked out a lot of those travel kinks and managed to sleep all night, in spite of jet lag.
