Good morning hotties-
Well...we didn't have an afternoon check in yesterday so how did your day go?

Have a full day planned. Slept thru my workout time this a.m. Have DS orthodontist appointment this morning and then I'm off to work. That's pretty much my day.
Positive about the Holidays? Coming back home, of course!

Good Morning, Ms. Phyllis..you sound very chipper today and thanks for the motivation.
I have been wearing a pedometer at school since last fall...just walking around in the gym during classes by the end of the day (bus duty, too) I put in 13 to 16 miles, just teaching!
Yesterday I went to the gym. As much as I dread that place, I actually got a good workout in on the treadmill. Phyllis, you would be proud, I actually jogged 16 of the 35 minutes I lasted on the treadmill. I haven't gotten a verdict from my ankles & knees yet so we'll see. Did upper body weights when I got home. There was a guy in the gym that I know pumping some serious iron and I felt a little, well, wimpy next to him with my 5 pounders. Journaling isn't going all that well for me either. I did get a couple pages done last night though.
The most positive thing that happened during the holidays:
We were actually able to have a peaceful evening at the in-laws' house. Good food and Jeff's Dad is a scream since the Alzheimer's set in. It may seem callous to some to find him amusing, but you had to know him before I guess. He's not at all the same guy. He's lots more fun now. So I guess I learned that I really enjoy my FIL's company.
Planning my day? Work, gym, dentist, home, collapse. That was easy.
I'll get back to you on the rest.
Have a supper-duper-alley-uper day all you Tiggeriffic workout divas!

Slept a little longer than I had anticipated this morning so it was a quick run on the treadmill and a fight with a coffee pot that just didn't want to make any more than 1/2 of the desired amount of coffee.
Yesterday was a good day. I had a very productive evening last night with lots of crossing out on my to do list. Finally got all my wrapping paper, ribbon tags and bags all put away, tossed away and organized.
Work is back in full swing. Phones and office were very quiet over the holidays but everything is back in full swing and sure do wish I could find the top of my desk!
Positive post for Christmas was finding the Betty Crocker/Martha Stewart domestic godess that lies beneath the exterior of my oldest! She planned and executed a lovely Christmas Eve dinner since we wouldn't be going out this year and was a tremendous help in the kitchen on Christmas Day to help out the very unorganized and unprepared Mother!
Hope you all enjoy a simply stunning day!

Good morning, everyone!
I'm not letting the bright sunshine fool me - the deep chill is here, and it's going to get worse. We have a nice empty garage, so where was the car this morning? In the driveway, nearly frozen shut. No bad delay, though - at least one door opened easily so we got the defrosters and heat running and got underway quickly.
Workout last night - cardio and weights, a really good one. I actually ran for 2 minutes on the treadmill. Sure, each of the minutes was separated by 9 other ones, but I got in 2 whole running minutes. Boston Marathon, here I come (ha)!
I drank buckets of water and held to SBD eating all day.
My workout tonight - more cardio, heck, maybe even more running. I'll be going for 45 minutes, so there will be room in there for a 3rd running minute.
Holiday thankfuls - that they were stress-free and fun family times, and now they're over. I needed to get back to a more real routine.
Have a great day, everyone!

We're experiencing the biggest snow storm in seven years today, but tomorrow...good ole rain.
I did a small 2 mile powerwalk this a.m. My 30 min. weights workout was last night. Will try to do some more powerwalking this evening and my Tony Little Abs, also.
I'm having a good time journaling (although I can't write my true feelings about people in this one 'cause it doesn't have a lock on it) and have had great eating since Friday.
Phyllis, I'm reading that book by Stormie O'Martian "Power of a Praying Wife". I have to admit that it brings back horrible memories of my marriage (and my mother's two bad marriages). I also have to admit to having a somewhat hard-hearted attitude about abusive relationships (meaning no one should have to be subjected to those relationships)& spouses with substance abuse problems. Anyhoo, I plan on finishing the book, no matter how many bad memories surface and hope it helps my prayer life. I assume she's written a book on the power of a praying mother, right?
Have a great day all of you wonderful women!
It was misting and 64

Snowing here today. We don't have much in the way of snow moving equipment here in Victoria either Deb, so like you our roads are a bit dicey. When I was taking Adam to preschool yesterday the backroads were sheets of ice. Today they will be sheets of ice covered with snow!! Was going to go out and shovel for some exercise, but with the rain coming later on, I don't think there's much point. That is.......if it actually comes!
Had a really good clean up in the house yesterday, so today I'm taking a day for myself. Going to lift some weights. Give myself a facial, a manicure and pedicure and do something with these unruly eyebrows.
I had a good eating day yesterday. Water was not as great as I would have liked. Only 6 glasses. And, I logged 8000 steps on my pedometer.
The most positive part of my holidays....
Spending time with family and friends. The visit from my niece and her family was a real nice treat. They are really good company. I had alot of fun with dh's cousin. She was in fine form over the holidays. We entertained some great friends on Christmas. Went to a really enjoyable open house earlier in the season and of course it was fun having all of my kids around. Spoke to my brother a couple of times and my sister too. Makes me realize that I need to be more social and keep in touch on a more regular basis!!
That's my contribution for the day! Have a great one ladies!
Shar
As a matter of fact....she has.
