JazzerJunkie...I like that!

I was thinking when I read Michele's post how great it would be to have that much enthusiasm and energy!

Hi, Susan...I can't believe how cold it is here today. All I did was get the mail in and I thought I would freeze. In a way, I am glad I am stuck in the house.

Hope you have a better day at work...the jammies and couch sure do sound good to me.

Were you thinking of going on the Oct get together?

It's chilly and overcast here, but it could be a lot worse. I was pleasantly surprised that it was 54 at 6:30 this morning. I believe that was the predicted high for the day.

Got flowers ordered this morning

Wow, what a week this has been - down with a sore throat Wed. night, lost my voice yesterday, and today it's settled in my chest. Plan to stay in bed most of the weekend save for 3 hours at Dillard's. Too many people out here are having relapses with this yucky stuff, so I plan to take it easy in order try to knock it out. Needless to say there has been no workout since Wed. a.m. I hope to do some kind of activity so my chart will have some more numbers on it, but we'll see . . . I had to come into work at the association as they seem to go a little crazy when I'm not here. I'd much rather come in & take it easy at my desk than try to wade thru the mountain on my desk that would be the end result of me taking off sick. Speaking of mountains, I have that much to do or more here beginning next week, so taking off work is just not an option.

Next week, I'll seriously be looking for a new part-time job. It seems our local Dillard's is having problems and has been issuing paycuts. Jeepers! I'd say replacing their gross carpet would be the first step to bringing in more business, but you can't tell them that! I ask every customer who complains about it to write it on a comment card. It's pretty sad that Longview's nicest dept. store has the moldiest carpeting of all the retailers.

I hope you all are having a nice winter. Today is a gorgeous day - sunny & decent temps. I'm just hoping for a beautiful weekend so I may get out on a nature trail to walk!

Hugs,

Kat

Kat, really sorry to hear you're under the weather. I think you're wise to take it easy over the weekend and let your body rest. At least you won't have the snow and frigid temps. like up north to contend with. Hope rest will do the trick.

I can't believe Dillard's would let their carpet get in such bad shape. What a turnoff, particularly in a store that sells nicer merchandise. I hopeyour customers are following your advice about filling out the cards. It makes a lot more of an impact from them, unfortunately.

Take care.

Hugs,

Rhonda
