Spinning wildly out of control in the eating department! Had a good workout. Food has been beyond description! I just ate a handful of choc chips with a glass of milk. That after scarfing down way too much chinese food. And I'm still not satisfied. Of course my hunger is satisfied, but I still have this tremendous urge to eat.

Anyone else go thru this? What is it? How do you stop it? What should I do (besides call 911 or Superman to save the day????).

I feel better just talking about it. Sort of.

Sassy<-wondering what in the world is going on.

Here I come to save the day.....was that what Mighty Mouse used to say??

I usually grab the chocolate just before a hormone surge.Try a glass of ice cold water and maybe writing in your journal.Or if you don't do a journal, sometimes I just type stuff out on my computer.I've read where cravings can be brought on by drops in serotonin and that 1/2 of an english muffin with jam or jelly on it is good for that.Or maybe try on some clothes that you love and want to work to get in/stay in.Remember that workout and don't let the eating undo it.

And finally remind me of these ideas when I dive head first into the chips!!!!

Sending you big hugs!!

Andy Kaufman used to sing that too in his Mighty Mouse impersonation, and he was wildly out of control! ;-)

I believe that this time of year has a lot to do with our urge to eat. When it's cold and dark, our instinct is to store food for survival. Tim said as long as he's known me I've always put on a few lbs. in the winter and taken them off when it got warmer (OK, so I haven't taken off as many as I've put on...) Anyway, I did fine through Christmas, but then AFTER Christmas when we had the colder, grayer weather and fewer activities going on is when I got insatiable. Hormone changes and cravings don't help either.

I'm right there spinning along side of you! I think it's the grey weather and short days that make me eat like a horse. All I know is it has to stop! You are definitely not alone in this department. For breakfast I had a HUGE bowl of oatmeal with a banana, peanut butter and soymilk. It's practically squeezing out my ears and I'm eying up the donuts in the cafeteria. What's up with that? I couldn't possibly fit another bite in my stomach, but I'm dying for a glazed donut with chocolate frosting.

SAVE ME!!!
