Baby, it's cold outside. Callin' for snow later on this afternoon into the evening ending by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. It's been windy and cold. The kind of cold that cuts right through you no matter how layered you are.

Today, my workout is going to be cardio. If the wind isn't bad and temps go up in the next 30 minutes, I'll bundle up and head out for a powerwalk. If it's too cold for my tootsies, I'm hitting the treadmill. I need to pull out my step videos. I always liked doing step and haven't done a step video in ages, let alone taken a step class.

The rest of my day will consist of a couple of loads of laundry and heading to the office.

I am loving my journaling. Never gotten into it like I have this time around. I'm learning alot about myself. For instance, did you know that I am really stressed out? Even angry and frustrated! And because of all those feelings, I eat a lot of really bad foods! Another eye-opener...when I don't get my workout in, I not only feel fatigued and grumpy but guilty and angry at myself, too! SHOCK-ING!

This New Year, New Me thing is going to push me over the edge :)

Crank it up a notch today, ladies. Get your workout in. Take some time to gel...meditate, pray, take a 10 minute snooze, read a book and take some deep breaths.

Hugs.

Sassy

The weather is headed for a nice high in the mid 40's today and not a cloud in sight...of course it's still dark out so I'm taking a chance here. The weatherman promised me more of the same for the rest of the week and I'm holding him to it!

Today's workout plan is to hit the bricks this afternoon (providing the mud is dried up a bit since yesterday what a mess!) and get in a 4 miles power walk after work. I've got fresh batteries in my discman and Anastacia is calling to me. Then, the omnipresent laundry pile is also calling to me, but it's easier to ignore.

Today's 15-minute project is to clean the bathroom. If I can find another 15 minutes I've got to clean out the fridge before a new life form evolves in there. I found something in there last night after class that could have been meat in a former life. It also could have been cake...I'm not sure. I may just take the whole thing apart and scrub it as well.

So, those are the highlights for my day. So long as I'm done by 9:00pm so I can catch the latest Law & Order, all will be well with the world. Hope your day is super duper alley ooper!

I've been busy working on financials today. Trying to get things ready to go to the taxpreparer. I've been a good girl all day. Getting lots of things done in the kitchen and bedroom, then going straight to really actually *doing* the paperwork...

I also made a commitment with myself that I'm not going to do recreational netting after dinner until I've done the dishes... So we don't wake up to a sinkful like this morning. Yuck. We agreed to go out for breakfast cuz we didn't have anything in the house and besides the kitchen was yucky. Not tomorrow!

Workout today - I'm considering a good solid lowerbody workout. We'll see what I'm up for when I get that far...

Personally, I love journaling. It really helps me understand myself. I'll go write anything I'm thinking abuot, then 1/2 hour later something else will hit me, and I'll write that, and then 3 hours later, I'll realize something about the first thing and be able to go even deeper...

It is wonderful how much I can learn about myself from just doing it whenever I think of something to write. It doesn't have to be a lot, it can be one sentence. Just getting into the habit of doing it is good.

For me, it's way easier to do it online where I'm at my computer anyway. I can type way faster than I can write so it works well...

I highly recommend it. Fitday has room for journalling, and so does livejournal.com (which is a really kewl place to hang out).

Good morning!Cold and getting colder.I've already hit the treadmill so my workout is done.If I get a chance I may slip in a short walk this afternoon or some LB work.Heading down to CL to finish getting ready for new birds. Will probably need to work later tonight too.

Taking a break midday for lunch with two great friends. Can't wait, girl time. I really need it. I'm sorta kinda halfway ticked at one of my sisters. Not a big thing but a thing none the less.My service guy made a decision that cost me some points and some money.Another thing. Last night we went over to visit the in laws. They got into an arguement over the food channel!!!Sheesh!!!I don't know maybe it's just me...no that can't be!!!!

Is it Oct yet?Am I in NC????

Good Morning,

It is indeed cold out there. It's 9 with a wind chill of -4 at the moment in NYC and probably a few degrees colder out here in the burbs. It was so cold and windy walking Otto last night that it actually felt like the metal frames of my glasses were frozen to my face. I was quite a sight at 7AM this morning with my workout shorts and a sweatshirt getting a few more boxes of trash out for the garbarge man this morning. DH decided last night not to overburden them and I decided this morning that they all had to go before DH had a chance to go through anymore of the boxes. I got my workout in already-went a little easier on the sore knees/creaking bone syndrome I'm experiencing at the moment and went with a walking video. Need to sort through the rest of the laundry so DS can pack up his suitcase for his vacation.

Hope it is a Wonderful Wednesday 4 all of you Wonderful Women!

Good morning, all!

The blue face is for cold. Wow! The car thermometer read -4 by the time I got to the train; it had started out in our driveway at -1. The brief wait for the train felt like a lifetime - the air temp is brutal, then throw in the wind and you have a recipe for many frostbite cases if people aren't careful. And they won't be....

The basement is not freezing, but it's cold. I left the laundry sink faucet trickling; the pipes will probably not freeze, but I want a little security while we're away from the house. I will work out in said cold basement tonight, wearing sweats, a hat (OY, no film, please!) and hubby's gloves - 30 min cardio on the treadmill (brisk walking) and 30 min weights/abs, then 10 minutes stretching upstairs where it's warmer. Dinner is leftovers - no mystery food in our fridge, it doesn't last long enough, and I really hate throwing food away.

Eat healthy, stay warm, and drink your H2O. Have a warm one - pretend you're in Hawaii....

Good morning! Wow, there are actually people out there with credit card debt half their income!!?! That's sad! I need to get mine down to nothing, but at least it's nowhere near half of my salary. I'll have to see if I can read a recap of her show on the website.

Well, today I did a 5 mile run and tonight I'm going for a full body workout with weights.

I feel for you ladies that have to contend with the frigid temps. We are so fortunate in E. Texas to have mild winters.

Stay warm,

Kat
