So What do you think Otto decided to do

to test my sprinting abilities? I'm in the kitchen fixing dinner and Otto has his nose to the door indicating he needs to go out. I open the door and when the amount of time he's out there indicates that it's been a little too long for the weather conditions, I look out and there he is in my neighbor's backyard. Apparently the wind blew the gate wide open and he found the perfect opportunity to test my fitness levels. I get on my sneakers as fast as I can throw on a jacket and tear out the door. He sees me coming and tears off behind their garage into the next neighbor's yard and in between the bushes. He finally stopped behind the bush and that was the opportunity to nab him,I then have to drag him back across two neighbor's yards to get him back home. I'm just grateful I don't have to explain to my son that his dog ran away.

Oh, boy, what a day to have to go out after a runaway dog! You must have been frozen by the time you got you and Otto back home. Isn't it nice to feel so fit? Make sure you put it in your journal...it is a big accomplishment.
I thought Otto was your dog since you walk him so much. Funny how DD's cat is taken care of by DH here. I am also a nervous wreck if she gets out. She is supposed to be a house cat and makes a B-line if she gets out. I have already gotten in the car to look for her because I wouldn't know how to tell her about losing her cat.
Good job and now you know your exercising is really paying off.
