Glad you're getting to stay home today. Heard on TV in the minus temps. you can get frostbite in as little as 15 minutes!
Your menu is an inspiration!! ;-)

Heading out to take Mom for her colonoscopy! How's that for a fun-filled Friday?? At least I'm not the one having it done. I'm taking a book and lots of magazines to occupy my time and maybe they'll have somewhere I can walk. I'll donate the magazines so there'll be a little less clutter here. Took Rob to school at 6:30, then got a load of wash in and dishes done. The sun is out and we should hit the low 60's today. I really feel for all the Northeasterners.
Congratulations, Phyllis, on being chosen to work with the fitness store. That should be a great lead. Patty, sure hope all goes well for your sister. I was just telling Grace yesterday how overdue I am for a mammogram. I MUST make an appt.
Tonight is date night, woo hoo, and one of

And give Doug a big fat....smack upside the head for me. His work might be called cutting edge - not to everyone's taste, and personally, I don't walk on the edge. It's his attitude that truly sucks!

Tell Doug he may be cute, but he's a looney tune. LOL!
Workout will be a 3mi. powerwalk & full body weights workout. Woke up late due to watching "The Goodbye Girl" on TMC last night. Loved Richard Dreyfuss in that! Will have to tape the new version tonight on TNT. 15 min. project - pay bills. My "Latte Factor" yesterday was $7.11 - not bad for dinner out for ds and me. Speaking of lattes, I've broken my Starbucks habit by making my own Starbucks decaf lattes at home - they are even better than our local shop's. Now if I could duplicate their frappuccinos in the summer! Anyway, that was my first exercise from the book, "The Automatic Millionaire". Good book & such simple principles!
Thinking of getting a mild version of Cablelynx for my home internet, which is quite a bit cheaper than AOL and won't tie up our phone line. It's supposed to be 5 times faster than my modem. The regular cable out here is faster than DSL.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Planning on a goo day today. 1/2 hour on the Stairmaster and some weights. I think I really need to do some stretching exercises. My upper back feels quite tight.
Food....Day 5 of SB for me. The scale is holding at 4lbs. Of course, I put my glasses on this morning to read it, (not digital), so perhaps I was seeing straight the other days! LOL
Breakfast - Breakfree cheese and spinach omelette with some Canadian bacon strips (new thing I thought I'd try).
Lunch - Shrimp and blue cheese salad
Dinner - I'm rethinking this one. Was going to do roast chicken, but dh has to work late tonight and won't be home, so I'll probably make something else and do chicken tomorrow.
Snacks - String cheese, almonds, celery and laughing cow cheese.
I'm not much of a chocolate person, but last night I had 2 small squares of a Ross (no sugar) chocolate bar. Tasted really good, but..........the darn caffine from it kept me up! It must have been 2:30 before I could finally fall asleep!
15 minute project today.....Tidy up my knitting around my chair in the living room.
Patty - I'll keep your sis in my prayers. Lori - hope for both your sakes that your dh is successful! All you ladies in the Northeast stay warm and safe. I don't envy you one little bit! Rhonda - hope your mom's colonoscopy turns up clear.
Have a great one everyone.
Shar
