Self, get a clue!

Sigh. I told myself I'd measure every other week. Instead I got on the scales and measured my waist this morning. Bzzt. I think I've gained a pound from 10 days ago, and both my weight and waist are back to where they were last January. What's bugging me most are my expectations. Last week I didn't do well in eating or exercise. This week I have and will continue to do so. With 4 days of proper eating and 3 days of exercise (rest on Wednesday), I'm expecting to notice a difference already. Here I am saying to others "It doesn't happen like it did back in our teens and 20s," yet that's a truth I don't want to hear (or believe) either! Subconsciously I must be thinking that because I was out of the loop for only two months, that things should be happening faster, but they aren't. Okay, just had to get it off my chest. I'm fine. Changes didn't come quickly last year either and I didn't lose heart, and I'm not going to give up this year either. :^)

Even though you did not get the results you were hoping for, your attitude is great and you are going about it the right way. It worked for you last year and it WILL work for you this year. You do have a clue..maybe

Like you, I expect to do REALLY well when I behave for a couple of days and I am disappointed when I don't.
