Friday Fitness Flop

Man did I bomb in the fitness department yesterday.Last month Flo showed up about 5 days early and this month my hormones seem to be running ahead of time.Yesterday I just caved in to it all.I ate, I cried and I slept.I know this is silly but even though I feel sure my sister is fine everytime I think about it I cry.The drs office didn't call so we have to wait til Monday.

It's my twin sister who is waiting for the report. In the meantime her Dr really ticked off my older sister. My twin does not exercise. She wants a recumbent bike because she says that way she can eat a snack and workout. LOL The Dr was encouraging her to work out and told her the only way he thinks it works is to get a gym membership. She told him that her two sisters walk together. He said"well unless they are doing 3-4 miles it's not enough."She said that yes we did do that. Then he said"Are they doing it briskly enough?"It's like he didn't think anything outside of a gym counted!

Anyway today I'm headed for a Costco run with my older sister and we're trying to get other sister to go with us.Hope she does.I think there is a stop at Cracker Barrrel planned too.Hopefuly when I get back I'll head outside for a walk and fresh air.I also plan to control the eating frenzy.I can feel so great one day and then it's like my hormones just flip a switch and turn me into a crazy(er) woman.

Ok, I just need to have a short therapy session. Thanks for listening.

Sending lots of hugs, Patty. Doctors are people, too. They, too, can be IDIOTS! I switched from an internal meds guy because he was just such a jerk. On the other hand, I love my new doc...she may not be warm and fuzzy, but she's friendly, concerned and right to the point. I like that. If your sister is happy with her doc, than that's what matters. How many sisters do you have? Just the two?

Hormones and regular life are bad but hormones and a crisis...not a good mix! Wish I could give you a real hug.

Sassy

Patty, I can't post long as I'm on my office AOL account, but I really sympathize with you. It is horrible that your sister has to wait until Monday for a call from the doctor's and she was scared half to death by him! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

You're not a fitness flop! We all have our moments, days, weeks! You manage to get fitness in your busy life & I marvel at that! You will be a great help to your twin with the walks! Helping your sister to become more active will also keep you motivated, too!

BTW, I was a flop on eating yesterday! I even had a bowl of chocolate chunkyard ice cream (it had bits of truffles, fudge swirls, pecans & almonds in it!!!). Earth to Katherine on the eating - I can't lose these holiday lbs. by eating that way!

You three sisters need to make a pact - when you feel the hormones surging - call each other for some good sis therapy & some walks or shopping. Cracker Barrel sounds great, too! You can call me anytime, too! M-F, you can reach me at 800-600-2865 at work.

Love ya',

Kat

Some of us have our MONTHS! ;-)

The ice cream sounds heavenly!

You've been doing so well that I'm sure you can jump right back on track with your eating.
