Phyllis, you are really getting great runs in!!That is awesome!Love that you are doing a victory cd for your client.I know that will make her feel so good.
Ok, if it's Monday I must be trying to get my eating under control :) The South Beach book has some wonderful ideas and suggestions.Rhonda, thanks for the heads up on the new issue of HEALTH.Picked it up yesterday and have enjoyed it.
Today I have to push my workout off til later in the day. I like to get it done early so nothing else gets in the way.I'm hoping to get a longer run in.I'm a phyllis wanna be :)
Maybe some LB work too.I did UB yesterday but felt like I didn't focus like I should.
DS and DH are both home today. The siding guys should show up.Too many men around!!
Lori, thinking of your DH and hoping his effort to stop smoking is going well.
Hard to believe that it's Monday already. Where do these weekends go? It's cold and windy here again, although not the biting cold of last week and very icy from the snow and rain we had yesterday. There was no rest for the weary yesterday--except for my manicure--while I was drying my nails the put a heated towel around my neck and then massaged my shoulders, arms and back-that was great!
Workout was a Prevention Walk Your Way slim tape. No difficult moves (as I lack in the coordination department) and I was pleasantly surprised at how it worked up a sweat-definitely something good for some diversity.
15 minute project-so many to choose from! I think I'll be choosing to get the laundry room emptied. Does laundry ever GO AWAY?
Good Morning. Climbed into bed early last night to watch football. Slept like a rock. Just got up about 12 minutes ago. Yummy.
DD and I are off to shop this morning. Workout will wait until later. We're going to hit Kohl's and then get breakfast and then hit the mall for me to return a couple of things.
The weekend was uneventful and semi-relaxing. Saturday I did nothing but the Jazzercise class in the afternoon. I didn't even cook. I was a slug. Sunday I nearly got all the laundry done in one day. What a concept!
Today's workout: I'm hitting the gym for some treadmill time...grrr...too freakin' cold out there to walk outside. We started out at about 4 degrees this morning so it's off to the gym. Oh well, it's for the best. I can't seem to get coordinated enough to run outside and it works pretty well on the treadmill. I think this summer I'll work on running outside some more.
Today is day 1 of the Bootywhompus Stop Stuffing Your Face diet. I have my meals planned for the day and so far, so good. Of course, I've only had breakfast at this point....
15 minutes? Fold some more laundry and start the dishwasher. Forgot to do that this morning before I left.
Kind of a chilly morning - wrapped in my Patriots blanket, drinking a fresh cup of cinammon hazelnut coffee, enjoying a morning at home. DH has gone to buy the national papers, so I'm also drinking in the quiet - no radios, tvs, cds blaring. I'll go read the local papers soon to catch up on the news I missed all weekend.
How was my Sunday? Pretty fine - no need to elaborate. Great game, the best company (just DH and I; I shouldn't be allowed to watch Patriots playoff games in public), and good eating. I kept the football snacking to the bare minimum (a few whole-wheat pita chips with melted cheddar, artichoke salsa and homemade guacamole), ate roasted veggies and just one bowl of chili with no macaroni or rice, and practiced pretty healthy eating habits all day.
15-minute project - checks to write, bills to pay.
DH and I are headed to Providence later today. We're going to check out the Providence Place mall (never been there), and then have a late lunch/early dinner on Federal Hill (the Italian section of the city). I'm thinking veal marsala, some special veggies, and definitely a doggy bag. Anybody want my side of pasta??
I'll work out around 6 pm - cardio and full weight/abs/stretching.
