Good morning!Yes this week has flown by!I'm only working 2 of the 4 houses this time and what a difference it makes.A girl could get used to this!!!
I go for my first botox shot today. It was suppose to be so simple. Was just going to work, slip over there and back.Possibly meet a friend for coffee. In the meantime my twin sister needs something picked up at the hospital there for her scan next week. I said I would stop by and get it.Older sister thought it would be good for me to have someone with me today so she wants to come. Then we decided what the heck, let's have lunch!!!And what the hey let's run in the mall too.
So I'm from chicken land for a bit, going to jump on my treadmill and then go back to work.Come in get cleaned up and off I go.
Good morning to you too. Yes, this week has gone quickly...too quickly for me.
Last night was a nice relaxing rest day. Walked da bears and let DH take me out for dinner. Yes, I was bad and had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. But I took off half the bun and only ate a few of the fries and no ketchup. Not too shabby.
Today I'm planning a Jazz class after work and probably groceries after that.
I thought the Super Bowl was next sunday February 1st? I must have it confused with something else. Poor Phyllis! My DH rarely does that. We don't have many visitors and they are not encouraged to stay very long. I'm a little weird..ok a lot weird...I see my home as my 'sanctuary' in a sense and I resent the violation of my privacy by too-frequent visitors. Yes, I may very well be a sociopath...LoL. Fortunately, DH is a hermit also so we get along well in this regard. Plus neither one of us actually gives a hoot about pro football.
Today will be a great day for me! You all have a great one too!
Phyllis--guess what I got in the mailbox yesterday? A nice little Christmas card addressed to me, my DH and Da bears. I guess the Postal Service believes better late than never, huh?
Man is it COLD here! Callin' for snow here and there over the next few days. DH is home today. His regular day off. He's driving me crazy already. As soon as we get the youngest kid to school, we're heading to the dungeon to crank up the weights. Today I'll do cardio on the treadmill, chest & shoulders. Looking forward to it. I'll spend a couple days at the office today and then back home to get some things done. DH is going to lunch with the Pastor (also my boss) and they're also going to shop for china for the church. DH is taking over as director of the Fellowship Ministry which entails hospitality and also recreation. He's a perfect fit for this job.
Tonight we'll probably grab some pizza and watch a movie with the kids. Seems to be our winter time routine on Friday and/or Saturday night.
It's Friday and might glad that it is. After one day of above freezing-we're back in the freezer again and all kinds of talk of snow. I really should find a pair of boots somewhere.
Workout is done walk/kickboxing tape and on to squats and lunges. Maybe another evening stretch. After work is my weekly trip to the grocery store and that about sums up the day.
Definitely a day for me in the fashion department. Friday is dress down day in the office-only problem with that is the lone pair of clean jeans hanging in the closet are the tiny ones. I did manage to zip but I do believe breathing will be optional today. Of course then to find something to wear over the just a little too snug jeans. Then to complicate matters we need to dress for the cold outside and the way too warm inside. This is way too complicated for my brain this morning. Maybe the fashion police will come and take me away and dress me properly.
Feeling a little draggy this morning. Went to bed too late (Letterman was good last night) and woke up long after the alarm had gone off - around 6:00 - so I don't feel like I had a chance to dust the cobwebs out of my head, just had to get moving. Managed to eat breakfast, though - interesting eating oatmeal while putting on mascara!
Workout tonight - just cardio. 30 min, maybe 45 - I'll see how I feel. Not sure about intervals, though. My legs have been getting an additional workout all week - the dumb "up" escalator at the train station has been out of service for 2 weeks, so there's a good walk up from the lowest level, then more steps from the mezzanine/fare level to the street. There's a sign at the foot of the escalator blocking access to it with the maintenance co name on it - personally, methinks it's time to find a new maintenance company.
Plans for the Super Bowl - to watch and enjoy it, not entertain people! If my DH invited people over, I'd be really cranky because I want to see the game and not play hostess. I'd probably feel differently if the Patriots weren't involved, but not by much. I'm already cranky because it's not on for another week.
Crankiness abounds. Good thing AF isn't due in for a couple of weeks....
I got back into the Body Sculpt yesterday - skipped some of the lower body workouts because I'm just not used to it, and I could feel it. (I also just used 5# weights rather than 8#.)
Today, continuing with abs work, probably a shortened cardio with weights work. Easier workout.
Superbowl, oh yeah! My Panthers are IN!!! We were going to go to MIL's this weekend, but the fellow buying The Cus's old truck is coming on Saturday to load it up and take it to his place, so instead we'll be visiting MIL on Superbowl weekend. We had a chili/snack party this past Sunday for the NFC championship. Panthers were underdogs, as they've been much of the season, and even I didn't think they'd beat Philly - I figured we'd better have the party while we could. Now, I'd considered buying a Panthers NFC Champions t-shirt, but I'll keep the faith and wait for their name on a Superbowl shirt! They'll be the underdog team once again... and this year, even though the Pats are a great team (and I like them, too), nothing is guaranteed just by looking at all the upsets throughout the league.
Yep, I kicked b**t already this a.m. with a 4 mi. run. Worked on interspersing high speeds & high leg lifts in that run. I must have looked ridiculous, but I don't care. If I marry a guy who likes to run, wonder if he'll be seen running in public with me - red as a beet face & dripping with sweat! No telling!
I may kick in a 3 mi. run tonight & for sure, it's going to be a Firm total body workout tonight. Tomorrow, the cable people are supposed to come out to hook up the cablelynx to the computer. If I want to workout, I'll have to get up early!
Today, I'm kind of taking it easy at work because, as usual, I will be here by myself most of the day. Good grief! So no heavy projects, just catch up on a little paperwork & take care of the Realtors fancies. Will lunch here and read my fitness books. Also, I'm going to be a fidgeter. My new mantra! Get up and run in place, do squats, lunges, tummy & tush tighteners, lift lockboxes, etc. Every 30 min. get up from this desk & do something! I've read it's possible to burn an extra 500 cal. a day by being a fidgeter. My very tiny friends are the kind that never sit still - something to try to work to . . .
Danny & I went out to eat but it was yucky food! California had much better Mexican food. I ate 1/3 of it so maybe no harm done. Danny was in a good mood last night, and I dropped him and his friend off to the basketball game. So glad he has a friend who has been around since 1st grade! I never had that as we moved around constantly during childhood. The policeman called the boy that had falsely accused Danny and him into the office yesterday. He asked the boy why he had falsely accused Danny of harrassing him, to which the boy replied, "I didn't, I said Danny Williams!". Sheesh! Anyway, I'm going to go up to the school to meet the principal next week (whenever anyone else ever stays in this office) so I can make sure no negative mark against Danny has resulted from this error.
Have a great Friday, everyone, and I am really hoping to be able to get online this weekend to post with you all.
