Fit Friday Freaky Workout Updates....

Spill the beans, girls...how did you do with your workouts today???

Had a 15 minute warm-up on the treadmill and then DH and I hit the weights. He's so funny. He is so encouraging (irksome, really :) and pushes me to do "just one more, honey, you can do it". Argh. I am so sore now. Did two chest exercises and two shoulder exercises. Then I fixed us my usual breakfast of eggs, cheese and light ham. I've got Classic Rock cranking on the office radio. Not very church-like, but they're doing all the songs from 1979...the year I graduated from high school. Very fun.

Tonight we're ordering pizza and salad from our fave pizza place and stretching out in the living room to watch Holes with the kids.

Hope everyone is having an awesome day! I'm trying not to think of our best friends who flew to Orlando at 8:00 a.m. today for 5 days of Disney fun! I'm sooooo jealous. Callin' for snow tonight (about 2 inches) and "a significant snow event" Sunday into Monday. Kids are off Monday and Tuesday already but I had hoped to escape to work both days!

Later.

Sassy

I've already done my workout first thing this morning, but a good stretch is definitely in order. Work was an absolute beast today but I did get through the day without any of the pastry that was in the office and without the all chocolate cake. Stress is definitely a trigger for overindulgence in the sugar department. It was one of those days that I knew if I started it wasn't going to end. I just kept telling myself that when I overindulge in the stuff I was going to feel awful mentally and physically later on. It was a tough fight but I'm very happy that I won!

I'm going to do my stretch and then I'm planning to crawl up on the sofa or a chair with some new magazines I purchased at the grocery store, turn on the tv and try to make it past While You Were Out and What Not To Wear without falling asleep in front of the TV.

Have a good evening!

I'm embarrassed to post after reading all that good stuff you've all been doing. Got home, cooked dinner (salmon with veggies and sweet potato), retired to the couch with my no-sugar-added Fudgcicle, of which I'm tossing the remainder - big yuck) - well, here I am reporting a non-workout day. I'm going to bed soon, because I'm bushed!

Saturday will be a better day. WILL NOT watch AM Style on QVC in the morning. WILL go down to the dungeon and workworkwork. Then I'll be sorting papers, filing, and getting the tax stuff in order.

Have a good night!

Tell Rob the movie was excellent! The kids had read the book (and already seen the movie), but the old guy and I hadn't done either. We really enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll tell him. He's read some other books by that author too and liked them.
